Healing vibes from across the Big Pond. My husband's been on crutches for a good 10 days this summer due to an inflammation in his ankle joint, and that already was extremely painful, and he is only 30. Can't imagine what that must be like for such an old lady. (((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))

Jennifer Hudson's mother and brother killed
pillowy star replied to Mrs. Peel's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Not to sound horrible.........................but WHO the hell is Jennifer Hudson?!? I asked the same on a German news forum today, and they told me she starred in a film called "Dreamgirl". Ok - but I have never heard of this film ever before?!? I guess I am the only one being ignorant here. Still - poor boy -

Donna, you surely know how to come up with cheap excuses credible and totally understandable explanations for missing a birthday. PS: Did I tell you I got a crystal Pillowy Star and Cracked Door Moon in the mail ? -
May your day be filled with lots of joy

Oh. My. God. This picture. It is totally beyond me how anyone who is sort of in the public eye can have their picture taken like that - unless they just don't want to be taken seriously ? Still, my favorite Wilco output does also include JB (although I think that A Ghost Is Born is better, just ST is my alltime favorite), and I liked Jay's solo stuff too (not all of it, but a lot), and I too am looking forward to his new record. I don't understand why he gets so much shit from people who should at least acknowledge his participation in making Wilco one of the greatest bands on earth. And

Almost the same here. My maternal Grandparents were married 54 years and died on 17th & 18th of December, 1994. Within 30 hours of each other, inseparable.

What a beautiful idea for a thread. I am glad that I had the idea of surprising my daughter with an unexpected parcel full of cheap but cheerful goodies like cinnamon cookies, a gingerbread octoberfest heart "for my very best girl", some nibbles for her rabbits, some candyfloss for her teeth, and some jewellry. The amazed & happy call I just got from her the minute before I opened this thread made me realize that it's the small things that count sometimes. Like I am so gonna make the most amazing Black Tiger Prawn stirfry for Rob tonight, although I will probably have to slice myself int

I'm still shaking my head in disbelief that this was actually frontpage news. -

That's so cute, Eric I still listen to this record regularly. It's very easy the best album of the year IMHO, but then there wasn't much that I dug this year anyway, due to other events occupying my mind, and due to the new REM being............not what I was hoping for.

Vic Chesnutt is brilliant when you're in the mood for it. I'd love to go with you, Bea

3 am?! I'm normally doing other stuff at that time of the day But I'll give it another try, I just remember his voice being so bland, like Josh Ritter's

No Nick Drake for me, I'm afraid. Tried it once due to the recommendation of a friend, and was bored out of my brains. Good autumn music? Bright Eyes' records might be an idea.
