The like, newest new election thread

Of course. The speech at the RNC was mostly written before she was chosen as VP and was read off of a teleprompter. -
Boy is that true. I was really into Phish but can't stand anything that was similar to them. If they do a new album, it better be amazing or just don't do it. The last record they made (Undermind?), I couldn't get into at all. And Round Room had some good moments but overall was weak. I'm hoping for a balance of heavily composed work and funk. I think the fact that they steered away from the more compositional types of tunes had to do with their downfall. It became too easy for them to practice less. I'm excited for this though. I've never seen a concert like these guys could put on.

Happy Birthday!

Well make sure you register before next Wednesday. These shows are GA, i think, but just getting a ticket will be hard enough.

Yeah I'm hoping I get at least one night from the presale. It was so devastating back in the day with all of my roommates on computers and we'd still get locked out. Their presales always worked for me, but this time may be different

I got one of those terror dvd's. I haven't seen it yet. I'll post my review when I see it. -
I'm loving the cardinology website. There's some good stuff on there.
-
I like it. It's Alan Ball (Six Feet Under / American Beauty). Not as good as those, so far, but pretty good.
-
His energy is amazing. I love how he leaves the stage without the band (Band?) knowing what he's doing
-
Please do; that will show us.

kwall I'm with you on this one if it's any consolidation. Conservatism is a set ideals, some I agree with, that neocons don't really practice. -
Oh, missed that one. Yippee!!! You think this is a good time to take out a second mortgage to afford tickets?
-
I gotta say Dr. Dog - Fate or Delta Spirit - Ode to Sunshine (even though that came out last year)
-
Chris Robinson?
-
You're correct, Kalle. None of those will be on the new record. Here's something to read: Cardinology tracklist: "Born Into A Light" "Go Easy" "Fix It" "Magick" "Cobwebs" "Let Us Down Easy" "Crossed Out Name" "Natural Ghost" "Sink Ships" "Evergreen" "Like Yesterday" "Stop"

Oh snap! You deserve an award, son.

Or it's 2,000 McDonald's apple pies per person. That's one way to look at it. -
I vote for Dock Ellis. He was coach and pitcher for the St Petersburg Pelicans (Rays wears their jerseys for throwbacks). He could do it on LSD and hit the first batter. And then the Rays could give the poor man a goddam liver.

Thanks for the heads up. Hope I win the contest. (and good luck to all)

Message? That we've given up as a country? You should listen to her talk sometime. She really is not equipped for the job, and lots of Republicans will agree with that. I like his history of reaching across party lines too. It seems so long ago now though, doesn't it? He also is saying a lot better things about the economy than McCain is. I find that almost as important as his b-ball skills. I don't think this board is anti-conservative. I'm not at least. I've voted Republican and Democrat. I think in this election the choice is just getting clearer everyday.
