  1. Impossible Germany is most assuredly a love song
  2. I think that this album (as amazing as it sounds) is going to sound best in May, when it's being released. Imagining listening to this one at a barbeque or something (yuppie alert!).
  3. actually, i've been listening to SBS more closely, and i think that Jeff Tweedy is actually Solomon Burke...
  4. I haven't noticed that other guy on campus humming SBS lyrics all week. I do agree though, on and on and on is a brilliant closer. what better line to end the album than "you and i will try to make it better yet"
  5. I like this album quite a bit, and I think that more listens will only further my enjoyment. I see this translating into some really great live moments. Hopefully they're pretty active in the midwest this summer.
  6. NO! I had been listening to a lot of MMJ and was considering whether they were the best around, but then Sky Blue Sky hit me. No contest.
  7. It's most certianly a Wilco album. Wilco is just changing, like they always do. There's no one way for the band to sound in order to be Wilco or to make Wilco albums.
  8. man, i hope that this gets a vinyl release right away.
  9. The title track, to me, almost sounds like it would fit perfectly on Being There. Share other observations of this manner
  10. i revoke my previous statement, SBS has more than grown on me, 3 words: another great record
  11. hummingbird isnt going anywhere, thats for sure. handshake drugs, spiders, and the late greats will probably stick around too. i wish hell is chrome, muzzle of bees, and at least thats you said would be as chief a priority.
  12. You Are My Face is fucking amazing. second straight album where track #2 is my favorite, at least for now.
  13. It hit me! This album is fucking amazing! Oh my god! What'll they think of next!??!?!
  14. I keep hearing that this is John's best playing, but the way that this album is mixed, i can hardly feel the bass
  15. I expect more. AGIB, YHF, and BT are all life-changing albums IMO. SBS is multiple notches below those. The songs are disproportionaly downtempo, and never get me excited. I might even say that there's not a bad song on this album, they just dont mix up the the tempos enough. The thing is way too damn repetitive. Man, I am very dissapointed.
  16. did Glenn lose his bass drum? did he lose all his gadgets? while his work here is totally skillful, it's so uninteresting for Kotche, and so edgeless. sigh. I miss those weird things from Pot Kettle Black.
  17. the one i've heard isn't too high quality
  18. Please PM me assistance to get my hands on this
