I was sort of a second generation hippie so I never really subscribed to any punk "ethos" (whatever that means) but I will say this: Joe Strummer was truly a righteous individual and his music touched me deeply. There will never be another Joe - rest in peace brother.

Well of course I'd say yes. The first set ends with a looong '74- style Playin', there's a nice dreamy Eyes in the second set as well as a stand alone Scarlet Begonias. The real clincher for me is the Help > Slip > Drums > NFA > Morning Dew sequence late in the show. I think it might be the first Dew since Oct. '74 - a powerhouse version.

I would never rag on The Clash, and Coda is just so-so but damn man I have to take exception with Presence - I bought that record when it came out and it is still ( to me ) one of the best rock guitar albums ever.
