  1. The King and Queen of San Francisco Blues. RIP Pig (9/8/45 - 3/8/73)
  2. Yeah, REAL DAMN GOOD!!! When are y'all gonna tell us to kiss your asses 'cuz Gov. Perry is taking you out of the U.S.?
  3. I'm still not sure about SBS. I'll hunker down and get back to you in around March 2013.
  4. I know it sounds horrible, Dan - and it is, make no mistake about it. But two things: 1) ya still got Kirsten, and she's proving to be up to the task of being in the "upper house",imo. Her work on DADT is important, among others. 2)Why don't you come on out here and see what a REAL dipshit Governor is like. This pathetic little weasel we have makes Patterson look like a brilliant statesman.
  5. Only 20? Hell, I had to cut it down when I noticed I already had 2 dozen before Peter had even left the band. Revised, so there's a little love for the later years (no particular order): The Knife The Musical Box The Return Of The Giant Hogweed The Fountain Of Salmacis Watcher Of The Skies Supper's Ready Firth Of Fifth The Battle Of Epping Forest The Cinema Show In The Cage The Carpet Crawl The Chamber of 32 Doors The Lamia Squonk Entangled Afterglow Duchess Dodo/Lurker Abacab Mama
  6. Thanks for posting this, Aman. I saw it on Countdown tonight and I have to say it is THE GREATEST POLITICAL AD EVER.
  7. Nothing against you AT ALL jc4, but that thought just makes me kinda sad.
  8. Word. I haven't seen this latest band (yet), and the '98 band was pretty awesome, but Phil's band in '00 -'01 was the fucking mother of all jambands. I saw a number of shows with that band and it was as good as anything I've ever seen. Just my .02, of course.
  9. Jesus Christ. Reading this makes me want to slit my wrists for being such an idiot/Luddite-type person. I have NO CLUE about how to do stuff like that - I have 2500 hours of GD and every bit of it was obtained through trades/snail mail. Hell, it's only taken me 25 years!
  10. That SNACK benefit show at Kezar (3/23/75) is one of the strangest sets ever. It's seriously wierd, even by GD standards.
  11. I dunno, Drew - that's a bit harsh imo. Hell, it's not the first time Jon hasn't been in the band. Trevor Horn handled the vocals pretty well during the "Drama" period.
  12. ^^ I loved it when your username was "nudge nudge".
  13. What Hardwood said. Since Phil is nursing a back problem (and probably can't play the drums) then HE should get up and sing Carpet Crawlers or IKWIL or some Gabriel song and kill with it. Ha!
  14. Given your name I can't believe you didn't mention Vermont's Phinest!
  15. Man, I would love for Yes to come back my way again. I first saw them in the round in '78 (?), on the 90125 tour in '84, and the Union tour in '91. As HWF said, I'd gladly pay the $$ just to see Steve Howe - that dude is one the greatest guitarists in rock history. And Squire? Shit, that guy has a style all his own, he's a hero of mine. That setlist looks interesting - Tempus Fugit? Hell yeah!
  16. I think that's the plan, Lou - at least Jim Clyburn seems to think so. We'll see.
  17. Imo Trey introducing Genesis is an inspired choice. He's spoken at length over the years many times about how much he was obsessed with The Lamb album, and you can hear the influence in many of their earlier tunes, especially the opening section of You Enjoy Myself, for example.
  18. I wholeheartedly concur with my friend on the other side of the aisle, the distinguished gentleman from Arkansas. Now see, bi-partisanship ain't so damn hard! Those dipshits in DC should take a cue from the VC.
  19. ^^ Hey, Runaway Jim just reminded me of the epic Runaway Jim "Runaway Jam" aka "The Jim Symphony" from 11/97. 58 glorious minutes!
  20. As always, thanks SO much for the pics and the review, tinnitus. Yes was such an important part of my teenage years. I've loved that band for 35 years or more.
