  1. If I remember correctly, Chris and some buddies released that hilarious song that was a spoof of the White Town song, 'Your Woman'-'Your Wookie' under the moniker Rodeohead. Chris also hosted that dating show on MTV in the '90s-was it called 'Singled Out' or something to that effect.
  2. Gomez tomorrow night; Radiohead June 2nd and June 13! Oh yeah!
  3. AKA-I Am Not Willing by Moby Grape. It's listed as 'Gone' on the A.M. Demos. Great song!
  4. Maybe a single could be recorded with Macca, for charity. I could see the band recording a version of 'the whole love' with Macca playing and singing with Jeff. That song definitely has a Paul vibe and feel to it. On the flip side, they could do a Paul song, backing Paul.
  5. Every year before Christmas, Jim & Greg do their obscure Christmas songs episode on Sound Opinions. Always one of my favorite episodes of the year.
  6. Aw come on it wasn't that bad other than Peppermint Patty imposing on Charlie Brown then getting mad when she didn't get her way. Besides, who doesn't enjoy having Thanksgiving dinner consisting of popcorn and jelly beans on a ping pong table? But I do agree , it is still a bit too early to decorate just yet. I love Christmas and all, but...
  7. I think I have to stick my shoe in my mouth. Now that I read it again, I realize what you were actually saying. My apologies for having a thin skin, I had some irritations at work today that I just need to leave at work.
  8. That makes sense. However, the people who had the capability to do it don't seem like they have the time to do it, which is understandable as we all strive to have some resemblance of something called a life. As far as I can tell, it hasn't been updated in two years. I actually had some time to devote to it at the moment in at least learning how all of it works. Since it was just sitting there and people want to see it stick around, i was willing to try to work on it. I thought I understood that no one wanted to take it on who was asked to take it on. Everything starts from an idea that someon
  9. Right now i have Good Vibrations running through my brain. I was actually more interested in the second disc than the first disc of the two-disc set; it appeals to my anal-retentive nature. I'm fairly certain if time and money was unlimited that I would enjoy the pet sounds sessions immensely.
  10. 1.Hell Is Chrome (hummingbird, the late greats) 2.I Might (Open Mind, Standing O) 3.One Wing (Bull Black Nova, You & I) 4.Impossible Germany (What Light, Walken) 5.Airline To Heaven (Secret Of The Sea, Remember The Mountainbed) 6.Pot Kettle Black (Kamera, Poor Places) 7.What's The World Got In Store (Someone Else's Song, Say You Miss Me) 8.Candyfloss (alternate Shot In The Arm, Summerteeth) 9.Too Far Apart (Dash 7, Box Full of Letters) 10.Walt Whitman's Niece (Another Man's Done Gone, Way Over Yonder)
  11. I'd like to keep Wilcobase running as it is as well. It may take a little time, but I could start updating it again. I thought about checking out computer books at the library to help get me started on all of this. Any suggestions?
  12. It's actually a project as a compilation that started over 7 years ago! I would like to really see it through and this might be a good time to try it out. I have tried different ways to make the compilation work but have never found a approach that I've ever really liked that wasnt overwhelming. But the idea was to do an audio journal of all their tours and present unique or interesting versions of tracks. The compilation is called City Maps & Handclaps. So if I was able to work with what has already been contributed to the old site in terms of artwork and setlists to create this blog and
  13. I wouldn't mind trying to rework the site, I had something along the lines of the Dead's taper's compendium, but for Wilco developed online. I'm not all that familiar with developing databases, but I have some time to learn and I could use a creative project at the moment. I'm actually thinking more along the lines of a blog rather than a database, with perhaps a podcast for each blog entry. I would definitely be open to writers for the blog.
  14. This was a good interview. It seems like Farrar was pretty open and relaxed. I did get to hear that Kerouac album he did with Gibbard and enjoyed it. I haven't ever really been a big fan of Son Volt or his solo stuff. Perhaps getting older has mellowed him out over time. However I still don't think well ever see an Uncle Tupelo reunion. I think Jeff & Jay could get along, but each guy is in different places in their lives. I also wonder if Heidorn would want to play with Farrar again after he was fired from Son Volt a few years ago.
  15. That version originally appeared as the fanclub single in 1998 (?). I still have my copy of the single. On the b-side, was R.E.M. performing 'Ambulance Blues' during Neil's set.

  17. I'd rather have seen them do that than another greatest hits set.
  18. Some Black-eyed Peas collaborations should do the trick.
  19. If you haven't seen Nowhere Boy, see it! I had my doubts when I first heard about it but it's worth it.
  20. Give Up The Ghost is my favorite from that album.
  21. I give this song the whole love.
  22. I concur! I haven't seen them do this since the Norva in 2004. Did they include the drone?
