  1. Born Alone (how do I always have the good fortune of standing behind a tall person. Grrr)
  2. Hey folks, I'll post the setlist for tonights show after tonights show and try to share memories tomorrow.

  4. No, unfortunately I didn't make it to Solid Sound either year. However, I'm sure you heard me mentioned by Donna. Didn't you travel with her and Brennan to Solid Sound this past summer? Yes, please pm me. I don't blame you, I love pretzels as much as the next person, but not that much. See you tomorrow!
  5. Well, thankfully they didn't fall back on a bunch of easy rockers with this album.
  6. Anybody headed to the Raleigh show tomorrow evening? I hopefully will make it there by six tomorrow evening and would enjoy meeting folks.
  7. I requested Laminated Cat for tomorrow night. It's been a while since I last saw them play it, October 2002 in DC actually.
  8. I know, it was a typo. I was so excited I forgot to add the Vol. 2 bit. I've listened to all of disc 1 thus far. This is probably one of the best mixes of a dead live set I've heard and the performances are great, strong performances.
  9. I picked up Europe '72 today. I had to decide between that and Pearl Jam 20. But the Grateful Dead was on sale for 10 bucks. It started off with Bertha so it's already off to a great start. I might pick up some of the individual shows along the way.
  10. I discovered Wilco through them as well. Mercury Rev and Wilco opened for them on the UP tour in '99. Although UP wasn't a great album, they were still a great live act at that point.
  11. I was thinking the same thing. They probably should have ended it when Bill left, but then I think that's right after they signed that new contract with Warners for a ridiculous amount of money. I'm sure they felt obligated to see that through. This greatest hits package probably wraps up that contract. Im not completely surprised it happened, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them make a once off reunion in the future.
  12. Her & David's version of Radiohead's 'Black Star' is incredible. I still prefer their version over Radiohead's version. There is also a live version of Gillian & David dueting with Ryan Adams on Gillian's 'The Revalator'. This is actually the song that got me into Gillian's music. I do like the new album well enough.
  13. heh heh That was a cool story, thanks for sharing. and yes, Maxwell's Silver Hammer is atrocious!
  14. Nels has and will always kick ass! For being such a genius on guitar, he's one of the nicest and most humble artists I've ever met (of the few I've actually met)
  15. oh no you didn't! just kidding It is a great one!
  16. Queen Rock Montreal! Hello my beauties!
