  1. Question for someone who has never gone but gets more pressured each year by his wife to go: Is it a general fee for admission and then you have to pay extra (saw the Joe Russo $40 tix) for all the club gigs? I'm assuming most bands make their money on these extra club gigs and that most attending fans' money is spent on the extra stuff...?
  2. Have to look into^ Dark. Pretty sure my wife and I have the closed caption on all the time on tv these days, anyway. ed. Really looking forward to the new Letterman series on Netflix.
  3. Heard a band on the way to work today called Greta Van Fleet. Pretty cool tune. Inevitable Led Zeppelin comparisons. Anyone know anything on these guys?
  4. I just learned that James's dad is the writer Larry McMurtry. Mind blown!
  5. My dad and step-mom live in VT. Old man said, yesterday, it was about -25 degrees with the wind chill. Damn.
  6. Binge watched the entire Wormwood last night. Fantastic, engaging, and really well put together.
  7. Don't know if it's a DP or whatever but Dane County 2.15.73 would be a really nice listen....

  9. Exactly (even though I was about 11 or 12). My favorite part of the last one or two my family takes me to is when they turn the light sabers on. Cool humming sound.
  10. Ween's drummer is Claude Coleman, aka Sugardick. Heh.
  11. Must be nice to be retired.... Haven't even started wrapping. I just pile all the on-line shit I buy in a corner until the night before or so.
  12. Yep, '93. Heard this too, and then al,owing patches to go straight the DAT. Came to a head in '93 Raleigh, supposedly.
  13. Yeah, that is a good one. Here's a kinda freaky one. Part of the reason Healy was canned, I've read, for stuff like this: https://archive.org/details/gd89-05-07.sbd.gardner.3329.sbefail.shnf/gd89-05-07d3t03.shn
  14. You sure he didn't shuffle by you...?
  15. Haha. Right, and saying Nanu-Nanu to everyone in the lobby.... I go to about 1 movie per year and I like your plan.
  16. My wife just texted me saying she's purchasing tix for the new Star Wars movie tonight and asking if I want to go. I kind of don't because I don't know what the hell is happening with the story line (I saw the first one in the theater in '77 or whenever it was, the one last year, and 1-2 in the creamy middle), but I like to eat popcorn and figured I could, at the very least, nap.
  17. Well it IS the only time they will have ever done shows as just a duo. Quite possibly the last time, too. And it's only a few dates. Not surprised at all how high the demand is. I'm contemplating flying back east for the one RCMH show my brother procured.
  18. Mountain bed co-wrote it. Or, made love to it a few times, at least.
  19. Hold-overs from the Apocalypse Now sessions. I think I've posted this before, but this aricle on the evolution of Drums-Space (Drums, Space) is pretty neat if you're into that kind of thing (specific note is made regarding the Long Beach shows, too): http://deadessays.blogspot.com/2017/03/drums-and-space-guest-post.html
  20. Access pass? My younger brother just texted me saying he got 10th row for RCMH.
