  1. Probably my favorite Who tune, saved for "Won't Get Fooled Again."
  2. Chris got remarried and has a nother kid, eh? Boy moves quick. I dig Luther but have a soft spot for Marc Ford.
  3. How so? Senses? Regardless, I don't think I was even in that silly debate, anyway.
  4. And none since he left, either.
  5. Quiet with that talk or this thread'll be locked too.
  6. Ppfffft, hipsters and their inane self-repeating in atheir quest to be prolific. I can smell one a mile away.
  7. Agreed. I caught a ton of shows in '88, too. Speaking of Hornsby earlier, he played on a few tunes at Buckeye that summer (on accordian). Believe it was Sugaree and Memphis Blues. Oxford shows were a hoot, too. Green Oniions opening second set in Bufalo (Garcia in blazer) sticks out, as well. Lot of bust-outs in Alpine, too. It was a jovial time with all the new material and the band was in hiught spirits. It was a nice precursor to '89, which was a great year for shows....
  8. Statute of limitations, I believe. However, it's merely a coincidence that McGwire came out now....
  9. I think it was Barry Larkin who said some poignant things about everybody's body gets wear and tear and not everybody chose to take PEDs. There are choices each individual makes, etc. and he made his own decision. Larkin's right. I don't care if it was "the era" for doing PEDs, in the end it boils down to choices and consequences. McGwire will deal with the fallout of most likely no HoF.
  10. Or Bob Crane, for that matter... McGwire seemed sorry but shit aren't they all when they get caught? Gammons summed it up well on MLB network: (sic) "he admits to cheating (even though he says it was minimal impact, etc.) he loses my vote." I'm with Gammons that regardless of a HoF entry (which I don't think he'll get) he did plenty to make a name for himself in history.
  11. Not sure I get this response to my post. Anyway, either this is a very tired cliche or I'm completely immune to any "smell" by now. Either way works for me.
  12. Most of all the "Jam band"run-off from the GD never sees the light of day on radio/tv. Unless you're mistakenly going to shows of music you don't like I don't see the harm the jam bands cause the folks who don't dig them. It's not like they're commercial shills that you see and hear every time you turn a corner.
  13. Yeah, pretty tired question. Glad you're happy, regardless. Cheers.
  14. Different era different voters, etc. Not an excuse just an observation. Hey, how's married life been going?
  15. Everybody loves the BOS/NYY rivalry though. Everybody.
  16. I'm not taking a side on Alomar and I'll probably get dumped on with "Ty Cobbs" but "Voting will continue to be based upon the individual's record, ability, integrity, sportsmanship, character and contribution to the game of Baseball." Take it for what you will but it wasn't designed to be all stat-based, regardless if other malcontents have gotten in.
  17. The whole network is about baseball....
  18. The title of the thread should be: Define "Prolific" On My Terms p.s. Who the eff is Robert pollard?!
  19. My lawyers have advised me that I cannot answer this question without jeopardizing my friends, my family and myself.
  20. I bet there are rock/pop singer-songwriter of the 00's that put out more stuff than that Robert Pollard guy (if that's even his real name). Maybe even as equally unknown, too.
  21. Nope. Guess I'm out of some sort of loop.
  22. And yet, I can't be the only one asking themselves "who the hell is Robert Pollard?"
  23. $12 M.... I think it'd be looked at as saving salary cap money (they're already over) and luxury tax issues (around a M). If there's another team interested in Castillo it'd make a little sense.
