Didn't make that one but it's a fantastic show. I frequent it. I'd say that Branford and/or James Cotton were excellent sit-ins. When Hornsby sat in on accordian in summer '88 it was pretty damn cool, too. Caught that at Buckeye.

When I want quiet music I don't want lyrics (generally). Unless it's golf on t.v. I could listen to those cats whisper all day.

I like this stuff,m too. I like the New Age crap as well, though. I got a cd once from the library that I thought was a sounds of nature deal. I went to bed that night and put it on and the wife and I were all settled in with the lights out when it started off with barking dogs then shotgun blasts and doors slamming and stuff. Turns out it was a sound effects cd.

I like the Soundscapes channel on the t.v. I go to sleep to it most nights. Relaxing/meditational shit and most tunes have no words to fog up the brain. Lots of pan flutes and stuff.

Good call. I grew up in CT and saw them quite a bit from late 70s to late 80s/early 90s. Fantastic live band and a hoot, to boot.

Hendrix: "Castles Made of Sand" I think the RHCP may have used it on "Give it Away," too.

Quite a few GD shows I just never made it to. Foo Fighters like ten years ago got snowed out. Wilco a year and a half ago. Met Ms. Y and Oceanman the night before but ran into some trouble later on and had to bag the next night. Lots of club-like concerts I've bagged on. General rule: if I have a ticket and don't feel like going, I don't go.

Agree on both counts, except I saw PF at Foxboro in '88.

That was an amazing game. Caught most of the last few innings/extra innings. There was a play made by Cuba's 2B-> SS in the game aired right after it that was absolutely phenomenal, too. It has been very good ball from what I've watched.
