  1. The size of the portions of pretty much the shittiest food you can put into your body (fast food) continue to grow though, so there's that. Plus, I think you can still get a 340 oz. cup of sugar water at your local 7-11.
  2. Really, he's had a very limited role since about the middle of last season. Hopefully the Sox can get something at least decent for him.
  3. I used to live with Bob Casey's son, Joe, and his family for a spell. Bob was the PA announcer for over 40 years with the Twins. That's all I've got on that.
  4. Eyes->The Eleven->Caution->Other One->Loser last night. Pretty good show. Relatively light crowd. Smokin' "Fire" and solid playing throughout. Some dude from Particle joined in for a good chunk (I think he sang on "Doin' that Rag"). Bumped into Molo at the after-gig show, too.
  5. It's gotten to the point where 5/8 has been legendary for so long that it seems like it needs to be put in it's place. It's place is as an overall very solid show. One of the first Betty boards that was highly circulated will do that. Of course there are better sets with better versions done. The beauty of the 5/8 lies in the fact that it was one of the best sounding tapes we all got with some incredible playing that night to match. That's all.
  6. And yet there's not a "Next Movie You Intend to Watch" thread.
  7. I don't see the correlation. Can't you believe in other life forms without believing in spacecraft from other planets?
  8. This is like asking if Tom Cruise played a cocky guy in a movie you didn't see.
  9. Well, it was only 11:30 hear, so.... Plus, I assumed mb had already mentioned it.
  10. Now the part I hate telling: we were coming back from a Dead show at Giant's Stadium. Yeah, yeah. And there was a stray dude from the show we were giving a ride to ijn the back seat asleep. We were crossing the Quinnipiac River bridge (an area I'm very familiar with)-actually on the bradge, heading back to Mass. and I was pointing out the area to him. I closed my eyes for a 1/2 hour or so after 5-10 minutes of crossing the Q Bridge and when I woke up we were on the eastbound side of the bridge again, yet hadn't gotten on it yet. I pointed out to him that we already did this part of the dr
  11. That kid screwed up all the lyrics on his outro last night, too.
  12. Probably a 1/2 hour-45 minutes. I was with another guy in a car. He was driving.
  13. Mother's Day at Barton Hall, Cornell 31 years ago today.
  14. I Disbelieve. I had a time-repeating experience, as well. Truly bizarre. I did not see anything in the sky though.
  15. Yeah. I grew up a half-hour south of Hartford.
  16. I think mb mentioned the '82 Earthquake Space from Hartford. I remember the show was very solid regardless of the trippiness of the Space. During the Space it seemed as if the entire place was rumbling, too. Must've been the power of the bass, eh?
  17. Papelbon's first blown save of the season. Nice win for the Tigers tonight.
  18. I must have nodded off during that scene. I thought Tim Meadows looked like shit for the entire movie, too, until the credits rolled and it was really Don Cheadle.
