I missed that, too. My condolences, as well.

Grateful Dead, Aoxomoxoa and Blues For Allah As corny as it may sound, these albums I first listened to in the late 70s opened a floodgate to a life-long passion for the band and the scene that I associate the very vast majority of my friends and even wife with. The Sex Pistols, NMTB The Clash, Give 'Em Enough Rope The Rolling Stones, Some Girls Frank Zappa, Apostrophe Joni Mitchell, Miles of Aisles Wilco, Being There Taj Mahal, Take A Giant Step De La Soul, Three Feet High and Rising

Big inning for the Sox: three runs and about 40 pitches from Carmona.
-
Not to mention that JT played a bunch of shows in Jan. Feb.-March is the only time there hasn't been some live Wilco/Tweedy stuff. That's a good amount of touring.

Nothing compares to a bacon pizza from Frank Pepe's in New Haven. Or Sally's (right next door) for that matter. Both these places consistently land on almost any top-ten best pizza in the US list. Runner up: clam pizza from same joint.

I suspect Ann Coulter to be behind the compiled list.

In anticipation of a Schilling-dominated game tonight and of hearing "Dirty Water" (played after all Sox Fenway wins): A cool "mash up" featuring: The Standells - Dirty Water Jonathan Richman & the Modern Lovers - New England Big D & the Kids Table - New England Aerosmith - Walk This Way Boston - More Than a Feeling J Geils Band - Centerfold http://www.musicremixed.org/lenlow/Lenlow%...w%20England.mp3

Can anyone beatLes Paul at musical inventing?
Lammycat replied to OOO's topic in Someone Else's Song
It's based on another cool pioneering musical instrument, the theremin. You move your hands around the instrument (in Trey's case, the antlers) without actually touching them. This creates sounds based on varied frequencies depending on what area you are in proximity to. Pretty cool effects, too. -
Gagne deserves to be booed. He's a liability.

No. I don't think it's an elaborate scheme. I was exaggerating. But I do think she intentionally exaggerates her viewpoints and makes nonsensical and inflammatory statements that even she knows are bunk simply to remain in the limelight (if you will). I believe she's already a fraud as I don't think that even she believes half of what she spews. I just overused the term "believe" but I believe it to help make my point.
-
Why? That's what she's all about now anyway.
-
Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if she came clean in a few years and copped to duping everybody by playing an extreme Devil's advocate for the sake of sport and money.
-
She's a gay man?

That rumbling sound is James Brown turning over in his grave.

Joe Torre's....
-
I read one of her books about 5-6 years ago to give her a shot and was surprised to learn that most chapters were titled after Dead songs/lyrics.
-
She needs to continuously outdo herserf with moronic comments to remain viable in the press. No outlandish comments = nobody notices her = no pay check.
-
I don't know, but I'm pretty sure Ann Coulter's only talent is duping folks into taking her seriously. She makes a pretty decent living at it, too.
-
I actually like the guy and yeah, he is pretty smart and talented. I used to really enjoy his show (before the t.v. days) when I lived in NY/CT. His show turned for the worse, imo, about 12 years ago or so. Whatever, though, plenty of people enjoy his thing these days.

Maybe a better way for me to have said it is that I think of Coulter like Stern in terms that they are both to be taken as "entertainment" only.
-
And nothing. Coulter is like Stern to me- at least when I listened to Stern. Why the angry face?
-
Stern is a genius? My point is that Coulter, like Stern, makes a living off of stirring the pot. But it's not really in a constructive way. It's closed-minded and usually inane. Or at least he used to be like that. I haven't watched/listened to him in a while because the program got pretty idiotic and all he talked about/featured was strippers and spent a lot of time baiting people.

I definitely have it on cassette and am 50-50 on if I have it on disc/iTunes. ed. mb probably has the disc, too.

Well, if the Rockies fall short of winning the WS we'll know who to blame now.

I may have it at home. I had it at one point, I know. I'll check.
