Another beautiful day here in the Mile High city with some gusty winds for tonight's ball game. Lots going on in town with the Rockies tonight, Columbus Day parade, Race for the Cure, and the Broncos and Avs in town with games tomorrow. Ah, fall. I love it.

I'll add my encouragement, as well. I recently started running (at a run-to-walk ratio of 90 sec. : 60 sec.) and am up to about 1.5 miles each jaunt. It's a slow process for this cat. Best of luck.

In the commercial for the new Beatles musical there's a part with a dude looking into the camera singing "I am the Walrus." I always think of Les Claypool when that flashes.

No dig at Edie here at all, but it's funny watching all the folks come out of the woodwork and supporting the Rockies now that they're something. The papers are loaded with "Rockies discounts," the airwaves and television waves are gushing, etc. This is all fine and I'd expect nothing less as it is a big deal, but it's slightly comical too that a lot of the folks have/had no idea who was even on the team save for Todd Helton two weeks ago.

Good suggestion, Oblivious. The immediate self-promotion deal can be annoying but I think it affects/annoys some people more than others. With a sub-forum one could choose to simply avoid the entire forum if they chose. I know I've seen at least one album by Pedro the Lion at the library. I think they're dubbed "Christian Rock" by some.

Due in the spring, eh? Not surprising that the baby won't make a noteworthy appearance until then, I guess.

They could probably squeeze in a couple of "Saved by the Bell" episodes.

Can't complain with a complete game shut-out to start the series.
