FWIW, I've tried doing flac with the instructions/downloadable xACT a bunch of times and have always run into problems, as well. I'm on a Mac, too, and I think it may be related to which browser is being used.

Same here. I never really listened to her before until I picked the new one up on a whim from the library. I burned a double disc compilation of hers last week, too. Some of the stuff is pretty tepid but some of it is excellent. Hit or miss with some of her material, for me.

I'm not a huge Hendrix fan, but from Wolfgang's Vault I've been listening to this show from Winterland 1968 this a.m. Pretty great stuff, particularly a nice take on "Like A Rolling Stone" and "Spanish Castle Magic." Tito needed to really confirm that Gagne is crap? You're right, though. Gagne has blow 3-4 games already by himself. Francona should not have gone to Gagne last night. He should not be sending him into close games at all. He's proven to be damaged goods and needs to be benched permanently. Was Francona thinking about saving arms? Perhaps. This is when the team should be using their best arms (which have been used sparingly) for the final push to the post-season. Bone-headed move by Francona and hopefully the last we'll see of Gagne in a Sox uniform.

I don't think (I really hope) we'll be seeing Gagne in another game this year. Last night was a "do or die" for him. He died.

I guess the question for me is: is what he did prior to being tasered a criminal offense that merits being arrested for? I'm not talking about resisting arrest, which he obviously did and probably deserved the taser at that point in the scenario, but the simple act of speaking. Is going over the "time limit" an arrrestable offense? Public disturbance, maybe? I'm not sure the heat had a lot of alternative recourses in the situation as it escalated quickly, but the initially contact with the guy (a couple of cops putting their hands on him and forcefully guiding him away from the mic) probabl
