Why, Pats? Why? It's like Bonds taking steroids.

I assumed you were wearing lifts, though. Plus, I'm shorter than you.

As well as the month the NYY particularly rue the trade of Scott Proctor. ed. damn you, sir s.
-
True. The one(s) off the YHF demos, especially.

Will you accept a challenge to a duel for a painting? If you win you get to paint more cool stuff.

I always thought that Triple Bocktober worked well, too.

I'll comment anyway. Once again, excellent work. I particularly like ""PisgahMapleRhythm." It reminds me of a road in VT where my dad and stepmom live as well as driving the backroads of VA in the Roanoke Valley.

I knew one guy from high school who lost his life. My brother lost 5 fellow firefighters from his squad. I always flash back to watching with a fifth grade class people jumping from the tower(s) and wondering if my brothers were safe. I still get uneasy thinking about the footage and the day.

Manny and Ortiz (knees again...) out and a lefty on the mound. Better than the alternatives, I suppose.

Not as good as sweet, sweet ass pics, but still: And a rainbow over the house two weeks ago:

Hey, that was posted after your post, though. Personally, I live in enough fear of the NYY to not consider them non-contenders until they're mathematically eliminated. Pitching has been their Achille's heel for most of the season. Joba and the other young guys they've brought up have added strength to their bullpen, but Clemns and Mussina are banged up and not as effective as they were hoped to be this year. ed. And Arod's bat in the post-season. Ummm...

According to Oprah, the guy had it comin'.

Where to start with The Grateful Dead?

I met TC in a very small (100 people and packed) club about 8-9 years ago and he gave off weird vibes to me, too. He was taking a break from playing (I think he was sitiing in with Stir Fried at the time, but I'm not sure) and he couldn't have been more put-off by the fans, it seemed. -
I don't think anyone has dismissed them. They are always a threat to the division. They've been playing decent ball the last month or so but the fact that Detroit and Seattle have been playing terribly has obviously helped them greatly for the WC slot. Moreso than their suspect pitching.

I suggested a place to talk about steroids because it apparently annoys some folks, but I'm curious why this thread is "ruined" now.

I wasn't aware that Ankiel used it while no ban was on. There's a big difference there. I agree.

What is your favorite 4 second piece of Wilco music?

I'll get this one out of the way: 3:47-3:51 of "the drone." -
The cheating aspect is equal. I don't think anyone is arguing it isn't. No one is saying Bonds commited a greater (worse)misdeed. Because he is a better player, and because of the cheating, and because he broke the record, he's held to greater scrutiny. He's criticized because he's made a greater impact on the sport. Many feel his impact in a negative way because of things he chose to do. Bonds was an awesome player pre-cheating (as well as the cheating years, too). This doesn't alter the fact that he made choicesto cheat (be it based on the fact he wanted to "keep up" with others who were

Are you reading the recently released non-edited "scroll" version or the standard version? I think I need to pick up the re-released one, but need to confirm with others who've read it that it's worth the efforts.

The ending to the Denver game was fantastic today. No time outs, barely getting the punt in as the clock ticks down the last few seconds.

Ooh, and I played Romo over Vince Young as a last minute decision.

Excellent album. NP: Todd Snider, a house concert, Boulder, March '07.
