  1. Say You Miss Me, Hoodoo Voodoo, and Cali Stars!?!?!?!?! Man, why do these old songs get nixed off the setlist all the time? That aside, Sunken Treasure and Mtn Bed redeem this set.
  2. One year safely falls under recently, ESPECIALLY if it hasn't appeared as an album. Either way (including Walken or not), this album is looking sharp.
  3. Am I the only one hoping for Pieholden Suite?
  4. You might as well make it easier by skipping the pushing part and go right to the "stealing the kids" part.
  5. that is probably the shining light in all this kitten shenanigans.
  6. I discovered this show on the etree tracker. HAPPINESS COMMENCE! edit: UNHAPPINESS COMMENCE! why is Cali Stars ALWAYS NIXED OFF THE SETLIST?!?!?!?!
  7. the only show worth watching is House, so you are justified.
  8. Not all great songs have crazy allusions, deep references and more imagery than a monkey in a tree. See: Beatles. Anyone, pretty much. In addition, if you think about it, this post-AGIB era is basically the rebirth of Tweedy. He's finding his non-drug writing chops again, so just give the man some time. i.e. Pat Martino was crazy at the guitar, but then he was gravely ill, and hd some amnesia problem and had to learn how to play guitar again. And look now! He's better than he was before. Extend this to Tweedy, and you realize that not everything can remain the same and not everything
  9. Radio Cure?!?!?!?! POLITICAL SCIENCE?!?!?!?!? automatically bet set this tour. edit: nice to see jeff play his J-45 this tour.
  10. That bitch (meaning drunk fan) deserved it.
  11. Been listening to this, and Nels totally goes bonkers on the Ashes solo! I like!!!
  12. i heard it's gonna be a white guy. how typical.
  13. Well, Tweedy is always constantly changing the lyrics, so really, looking towards any one instance makes it a moot point, because very well next time it could come out different. So...original intent or evolving standards? Oh, how remniscient of judicial review...
  14. I'm guessing you don't understand we're talking solely talking live here, because Nels has only appeared on one studio recording? and, secondly, does Nels even have to bother with how Jay played, considering that one, they come from opposite ends of the music spectrum, and two, the fact that Nels outplays Jay in everything but that one small niche that is pretty much dead? no.
  15. 2006.06.28 MacEwan Hall, Calgary: "i am trying to break your leg"
  16. when i see the title "uncut," i auto-think of a tabloid. you're not alone.
  17. Pretty sure it's just open A (which would sound as a B ) the last part seems to be not in relation to the capo. that could be it. and that you have to repeat it.
  18. the chord progressions, i sometimes took the general harmony into account, which explains many of the seemingly random sus4s, 6s, and maj7s floating around.: intro: Am-Cmaj7 verse: Amsus4-Am-Cmaj7-Cmaj6-G-Em-Am chorus: C-Am-C-Am-G-Em-Am-C-Am-Cmaj7 postlude: G-Em-Am-Am there's a lot of stuff in between that i'm not willing to notate out at the moment.
