  1. 1. Where the fuck was my wand battle? 2. Harry Potter was basically blazed out of his mind in the Felix felicis scene. My friend looked at me when it came on and was like, "he's soooo blazed. I know because this is what my friend acts like when he's blazed." 3. While I appreciated some adaptation for the film, the whole Ron-Hermione segment was built up without resolution (which had to have happened, but they spent a whole lot of time dealing with it), and the Ginny-Harry segment was just really awkward. Maybe I should try picking someone up with "You're shoe's untied" and tie their shoe?
  2. Flight of the Conchords - HBO One Night Stand
  3. I do not know what cosmic force propelled me to put this on. But I am listening to it now.
  4. I play it a lot more simply, it seems to be more accurate to what Tweedy does (also sort of corroborated by watching the Letterman performance). I was going to add some corrections but there seemed to be enough to justify putting a new one together: You and I v.Dunderball Capo 3 -C-Cmaj7-G-G7-Am-Dm-Bb-Am9-Em-F-Fmaj7aug4 -0---0---3-3--0--1-----0---0--1-0 -1---0---3-0--1--3--3--1---0--1-0 -0---0---0-0--2--2--3--4---0--2-2 -2---2---0-3--2--0--3--2---2--3-3 -3---3---2-2--0--0--1--0---2--3-3 -3---3---3-3--------1------0--1-1 Intro: C-Am9 x2 C Am9 You and I C Am9 We might b
  5. Not anything particularly album-oriented, but this: Thom Yorke - All for the Best
  6. I personally don't find her attractive. But yeah, I can figure how others see it. I feel like the large set of knockers might have something to do with it.
  7. I think you should name your cat "the Rutles"
  8. All of the above used to be an art. But it's been defiled recently.
  9. The Band Not entirely American, but they certainly project the American ethos better than any group had or has ever done, or ever will do. That's what I think of when this question is posited.
  10. But do you know what the Mull of Kintyre is without Wikipedia'ing the thing? Thought so.
  11. If by "right-of-center coalition" she means "off-the-deep-end coalition," then perhaps she's on the right track.
  12. I think Macca should bust out "Mull of Kintyre," only because it somehow flopped a shit in the US but tore up the UK (and by "somehow" I mean "no one in the US knows what the fuck the Mull of Kintyre is").
  13. Give me a couple hours and I'll nail something better down (listening to Dino Jr.'s Farm right now), but off the top of my head: Em - B7 - Bb - A(7), then D - Cmaj7 - B7 - A7 for the first one back into the chorus section. The outro does the Em - B7 - Bb - A7 into an E to end.
  14. I think it reaches a lot deeper than just Wilco's catalog. Not just a summing up of Wilco's work, but of all the work that previous people had done that have influenced them greatly. I could see Richard Manuel do "Country Disappeared" with remarkable taste, the obvious George Harrison/Tom Petty read for "You Never Know," and perhaps even Lennon stepping up to do "Everlasting Everything"...it's very Lennon-ish in what it's trying to do.
  15. Will McCartney play one of those tunes the Beatles played on the Ed Sullivan show? That's the more intriguing question. According to Wikipedia, here's what they played at some points during their time: She Loves You I Want to Hold Your Hand All My Loving Till There Was You This Boy Twist and Shout Please Please Me I'm Down I Feel Fine Act Naturally Ticket to Ride Yesterday Help! Obviously a few of those have to be ruled out (i.e. Help!) but it would be pretty damn sweet of one of those was played, as a sort of throwback.
  16. I'll have to look at it again. I can do that. Sooner or later you'll get a response from me.
  17. George Harrison sort of impromptu played Carl Perkins' "Your True Love" at Carl Perkins' funeral. It's on Youtube, methinks.
  18. I feel super bad for Roddick. If it weren't for Federer, Roddick would have quite a few Slams under his belt. And perhaps this Wimbledon right here will be the closest Roddick will get to a Slam for awhile. But yea, I rooted for Federer today, and I'm happy to see him pull out the win.
