Yes, this is excellent! In an effort to get off my lazy ass and do more fun things like Wilco paintings, I have canceled my cable. Good things to come!

I came within 5 feet of Nels at the Halifax waterfront show. It was about 4 in the afternoon and we were waiting to snag a spot up front for the outdoor show. Only a few other people were around that early, probably because of the blistering heat. I was sitting on the curb and looked up to see Nels sauntering over in those red flood plants. He walked right up to the guy in front of us who ended up being a buddy of his and I froze. He was right there! And I blew it. I made up for it kinda by meeting Glenn before a Massey Hall show in Toronto. I knew not to let the opportunity pass ag

Just heard the good news about the boys coming to Halifax! The multipurpose room holds around 1200...just saw Modest Mouse there a few weeks ago. Gonna be one sweaty winter night! -

I feel the same way I can only imagine all the mixed feelings Jeff is having. I really do wish it was possible for a bunch of us to get together and listen to some good music. I feel like being around other fans right now.

Man, this is really upsetting. I sincerely hope you Rest In Peace.

I think he's great. The only other video he posted besides ITMWLY is a kick ass version of Something.

I sing. I can't help myself, and I love every minute of it!

Cape Breton Island can definitely spare some good vibrations for Kidsmoke's Pops! -

Sounds like you had a great night of music, good stuff...even if I am completely jealous -
...and he's fantastic.

Yesterday my b/f and I took the new album on a drive through the country and gave it a good concentrated listen. I am loving it! Bull Black Nova and I Fight are standouts for me. I love how each song sounds so different and can't wait to hear some live!

You think YOU have it rough? I live on Cape Breton Island. Can you guess how many times they've come here? Suck it up dude. I've had to travel AT LEAST 5 hours to all 4 of the Wilco shows I've been to.

Canadian film, literature, art, etc.
Papillon Parade replied to Queen Amaranthine's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Movies - C.R.A.Z.Y. This is one of my top ten fave movies. Soundtrack includes Patsy Cline, Pink Floyd and David Bowie. Bon Cop, Bad Cop was also good. Music - Definitely check out Joel Plaskett. He's fantastic. Also, Elliott Brood from Toronto is great as is Sam Roberts from Montreal. Local hero Matt Mays is worth checking out and if you can see Hawksley Workman live, do it. TV - The Hour with my tv boyfriend George Strombolopolis. Marketplace and The Fifth Estate are favourites of mine too. Eh. -
The thought of them calling it quits brings tears to my eyes.

I'll mention to Will not to contact you next time he goes on tour. I'm sure he'll be crushed.
