Wilco cloth diapers.

I like the song just fine. Like, don't love. But God forbid someone post a contrary opinion. I know we have someone here called Wilco Worshiper, but I think the point of this board is to discuss Wilco, not fall all over ourselves in constant praise.
-
After 1 listen I think I like it. Not sure I love it, but I listened to the stream on my laptop speakers. Almost sounds like a Loose Fur track.

He had some great moments with Vince Vaughn in Made.

I can't wait to read that too. FYI, Bob is on Jimmy Fallon tonight.

Which is exactly my point. There just is no Wilco / E Street Band comparison, at least in terms of the Clarence/Bruce vibe. I'm sure there's probably one in rock, but I can't think of it.
-
Herein lies the problem. Jay was kicked out. Jeff stopped liking working with him. Bruce takes breaks from the E Street Band, but did one ever feel he didn't like Clarence personally or professionally?? Jeff (understandably, since he'd just been sued by the guy) had trouble saying nice things about Jay even after he died.

Damned faulty memory.

A fair point, I guess I feel like you don't need the 2 CDs to delineate the separate sounds, but I usually listen to the whole thing. IIRC (and I'm not sure I do), the retail price of BT was more than most single CDs but less than most double CDs. Since it could've fit on one disc, that aspect bothered me, and having 2 CDs to keep track of rather than one.
-
Was the author just stretching? I think he was looking for comparisons that just don't exist. John is probably the best comparison in Wilco, but does anyone think that their Jeff/John relationship is anything like Bruce/Clarence? The only working relationships that come to my mind are hollywood. Martin & Lewis, Damon & Afflek??
-
I was a bit peeved that BT was a double CD. It seemed so unnecessary at the length it was. A gimmick. That's my only complaint about it. So if there's enough music to squeeze on 1 CD, I prefer they do that. Is it possible that a band like Wilco will sell more vinyl than CD? I assume downloads will be their #1 medium.

The Current is previewing a new track. It's fantastic! http://minnesota.publicradio.org/collections/special/columns/music_blog/archive/2011/06/debut_the_jayha.shtml -
This is sad

Loved the v-roys, I have Scott's 1st 2 solo albums and then sort of lost track. This bit was totally awesome.

Offensive jokes are, IMO, fine if they're funny. The have to be funnier than they are offensive. I'm glad a gay found that joke funny. I did not. Having said that, if I were a moderator, I wouldn't have deleted it.

Most Beautiful Songs that Break Your Heart
uncool2pillow replied to sgtpepper64's topic in Someone Else's Song
Beautiful, beautiful song. I wish the v-roys had stayed together. Just Add Ice is a gem. I used to get emails from Miller, but he never seems to leave the south these days, so I gave it up. -

70 tomorrow!!! Or today where Froggie is.

Harmon led a life away from the spotlight for the past 35+ years. He's beloved in Minnesota, but not nationwide. "Macho Man" did all he could to maximize his national exposure beyond his prime. Killebrew was 74, Savage still in his 50s. I am much sadder about Killebrew's death because I've been a Twins fan since childhood (around the time he retired), but I understand why most people are more shocked and/or saddened by Savage's death.

I love that picture except its setting. RIP Harmon. Fuck the Yankees.

Talent Show is one of my favorite 'mats song. Achin' to be was ahead of it's time. I'll Be You is Good. Most of the rest is pretty lame, so I'd never buy it on vinyl, even if I was a vinyl collector.
