  1. I saw this too. To be honest, he threw better when he was bigger.
  2. Alright, I'm excited now.
  3. I was quoting NPR. That's ^ wrong.
  4. I didn't respond last night because I knew there would be a lot going on here. But the best description of Jindal came from that girl who spends an awful lot of time at my house. She didn't know the speech was going on and walked in sat on the couch, opened a couple of beers and said, "What the hell are you watching? Is this the new Mr. Rogers? Why is he on at ten thirty at night?"
  5. We Tiger fans expect an update afterward.
  6. My parents live a few blocks from this place. Its like crack!
  7. Oh man, New Palace is great all year 'round!
  8. From the Hilltop in L'Anse, MI. It IS as big as your head!
  9. I remember a place in Kalamazoo that had burritos "As Big As Your Head". Having a big head, I never attempted to order one. I can't remember what that place is called though.
  10. For those of you not aware of the Paczki I have included a link at the end. But its enough to say that one of the most wonderful traditions of Fat Tuesday around this country resides in its wonderful Polish communities. Living in Detroit has enlightened me to many things Polish. Amazing food, incredible beer, great people with fiery dispositions. But my favorite tradition is today. Follow the link to see this most incredible fried delight. And if you're Polish, a grateful Frenchman thanks you. Beautiful
  11. Its a before the Tigers game regular. Of course, I miss the first couple of innings trying to digest it.
  12. Slow's BBQ, Corktown, Detroit "Triple Threat Pork $7.95 Bacon, pulled pork & ham stacked high on the bread of your choice. Heeyah! Git some!" Soo goood. And cheap!
  13. Hawkeye: Jeff Trapper: John Blake: Jeff Frank: John Radar: Jeff Klinger: John Margaret: Jeff Zale: Jay Bennett
  14. Yes. And that man's name is Jay Bennett.
  15. I think you're defending them so hard 'cause that ACL was great. I don't care if they try and get bigger. Those first two albums are perfect.
  16. My girlfriend always comments about them boys as well. I have no complaints, as she is subjected to my lustful thoughts on any number of female musicians. And I have always thought KOL were a great band. Great singer, solid rock and roll songs. Bit a little more off than they could chew on the third album, but this last one and the second album are good rock records.
  17. I follow you. I think there is an inherit Americanism to that knee-jerk, Samuel Adams approach to just kick the guts out of anyone who dares mess with you and your way of life. At the same time I understand the need to attempt to find a way to survive in a world with many versions of the truth and justice.
  18. I don't think I was calling anyone stupid. I certainly wasn't trying to. And I'm not so sure that understanding someone's motives whose hell bent on killing me is really something I feel is necessary. If someone is about to kick the hell out of me, I'm not going to stop and ask him why he wants to beat the hell out of me. I'm going to fight. Its almost funny that the original post I responded to and this post I'm responding to smack of the same kind of world loving, hand holding liberalism that makes me embarrassed to be a liberal. You can't actually think there was any legitimate sense
  19. God, I hate that argument. Its not only not true, but has the added benefit of lending legitimacy to the senseless act of a truck load of lunatics.
  20. I also think Tommy took the biggest role in the reissues being released and finding a lot of unreleased stuff. I can't imagine him being a telemarketer. I'd actually take that call. I'm sure he's well paid being in GnR. Of course he probably wants to throttle Axl like nearly every other soul on earth. edit: The biggest role of the band members. I think Jesperson is the biggest force behind them. (Sorry, the reissues).
