If Auntumn De Wilde took the pictures for the album it's seriously going to be great, she's done pretty much the best pictures of the best musicians for a long time. Icky Thump? Sea Change? Figure 8? All so so so awesome, I'm excited just for the gd art now!

I will be attending this show as well folks! Fun fun!

I just found out about him a couple days ago as well, nice songs.

He's easily one of my favorite 'modern' songwriters, I hope to see him live one day.

I know I speculated and bad mouthed the band (and certain band members) prior, but I am so gd excited about this new album! From the sounds of it I think it's going to be exactly what a lot of us wanted.

I've listened to the record quite a bit and feel pretty luke warm about it. White Shows is so so incredible and is what Conor does best, some of the upbeat numbers that Conor sings are alright (as well as the other guy with the lower voice Difference Is Time and Big Black Nothing) but I am actually surprised that there is a singer on a Conor Oberst record that can be more irritating than him, I can't remember his name but I definitely skip Air Mattress and it's not just because of the bad synth.

I'm thinking mine is taking so long because I got the big package deal and it has something to do with customs, let's hope we get it soon. I am going to assume that we'll get the Canadian dates in the fall so let's hope for a Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, London quartet, now that would be swell! Thanks blindgonzo I'm glad you enjoyed it! Also Ottawateeth, I'm moving to Ottawa in the fall to go to school, meeting up with Wilco fanatics and people from the board has sort of been a tradition at Wilco shows, we should meet up sometime.

Well really it just shows how Rolling Stone can't describe anything very well, remember when they first heard the record they called it country? I mean I haven't heard it but from the few people that have heard it around here 'country' isn't the first thing to call the record.

Thanks much kidsmoke! We have CD release shows here during the second week of May so you know, if anyone is venturing into north Ontario then, come out! So if the album is going to be self titled I think we should come up with a consensus acronym for it. Now we can't use ST as that is obviously for Summerteeth, WTA? for Wilco the album? if we started calling it just Wilco that will just cause mass confusion! WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO? Via Chicago is based upon acronyms! I remember first coming here and getting utterly confused by all the three letter short forms! We must keep up with this long tradition of lazy typing!
