Sky Blue Sky Music has a strong pull on my emotional state. A song can take me from sad to euphoric or excited to irritated in just a few notes. All of Wilco's music puts me in a positive frame, but I think everything prior to Sky Blue Sky takes me away from reality (I escape / hide in the songs), whereas this album provides me with in-your-face, beautiful hope.

My husband had a bit of a panic attack yesterday, so we had to miss the show. Seeing that setlist makes me really, really bummed...looks like it was an incredible night (as usual).

I didn't get it.... If you still have the saved message, send it again.

Nate and I will be at that show. Hopefully we'll get to see you!

I've got two..... The first is an audio version for waking up to when you're out of town.....disc 1, track 1 of the 06/11/2005 Berkeley show at the Greek Theater. There's just something about having that be your wake up call. Works like a charm every time. The second is a video version from the Glastonbury Festival on 06/25/1999 (Volume 2 -->The DVD Project). Jeff gets in this trance as he screams NOTHING over and over and over (from the previous footage, it seems the energy he's putting forth is definitely directed at some unkind individual in the crowd). When he finishes the NOTHING

Those are great shots as well!! Number 19 is my new desktop background and 28 looks like there's got to be a good story behind it.

Great photos!! Number 29 looks like a perfect moment, and the framing of the pianist by the guitar in 46 is pretty sweet!

I could watch him for days.

How many guitar licks does it take to get to the center of Nels Cline?

Great shots!! I couldn't figure out how to pull ones from your site to display in this post. but wanted to let you know I really liked #10 in the slideshow rotation (the tilted angle of Jeff bent forward), and #30 gave me chills (I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that stare). Thanks for sharing!

We turned our dining room into a music room (who needs to eat at a table???), but there's way too much clutter to be sharing pictures of it! Here's a few shots of the Epiphone I "borrowed" from my father-in-law. It's a little funky/beat up/worked on improperly, but I absolutely adore it.

Awesome!! Our 5 year wedding anniversary is this month, so this might be a great surprise/treat for Nate!!! - Julie

That's what I remember. Didn't Jeff say something about Nels' being one of the best guitar players? Pretty cool that a few months later he's part of the band.

Thanks much for posting the link! The video is sweet - I only wish it was multi-angle -- overhead, behind the kit, etc... so I could get a better look at what he's doing!!

Hi Jessica! I know what you mean -- the evening went by way too quick!! We most definitely need to meet up again sometime down the road. Hi Megan! Your memory serves you well - we are indeed from Sacramento. Let us know when your snowboarding trip is and we
