Amen, brother.

Us also. We love Portland but never heard of the Pier. I, too, had a devil of a time googling anything about a venue/concerts there. This is what I was referring to, including the FAQ: http://www.greatnortheast.com/shows/pier09/index.php\ And Eph, thanks. I have heard nothing but great things about Quebec City. This seemed the perfect time (excuse!) to check it out.

After checking out the venue and reading Glenn's set list quote, we are in for Portland, too. Portland then Lewiston with a jaunt to Quebec city before or after. Wilco - keeping the dcarter's traveling budget continually stretched thin!

This was music to my ears, er, eyes! But for the die-hard fans, Wilco will add deep cuts from discs like

April fools 4 weeks late? Creed reunites...
Doug C replied to remphish1's topic in Someone Else's Song
The truly unnerving thing about the reunion was the collective "YES!!!" let out upon hearing the news by actual human beings living amongst us. -
Simply a 'regular' Wilco show would raise a hefty chunk of change...

Yes. I've had it for a few months. I agree that it is his best since Palace.

Ah, open up 'my computer'! It sounds easy enough even for me. I'll give it a go when I get home. Thank you. I bet that it is the same reason that I could never get the 'Sunken Treasure' download!

Thank you. I guess that is my main problem in my DL attempts. When I put the DVD in, what do I click on to access that page? I am not very computer literrate but can do basic things so it has been very frustrating. I am not seeing anything that would take me to that page... Thanks and sorry for my incompetence.

Thanks! Question: where is the page that you posted? I cannot locate it at wilocworld.net

You are wrong dude. That was written to be read while tripping. Ingest some blotter or munch some mushrooms and that sentence will be a veritable Rosetta Stone.

I didn't think that it was melodramatic at all. I wouldn't want to face total hip replacement surgery and I have decent health insurance. His myspace post struck me as very sincere and heartfelt. Hopefully this will produce a Gary Schepers-type of response.

Definitely give us the details bhickman. It would be wonderful if some musician friends and acquaintances organized a benefit show to help pay for at least some of his expenses.

Damn. That is serious. Thinking of you, Jay Bennett. The good thing is that you can now start to recover and improve your health. Knowing is always better than not knowing.

Well, I said to myself that if I can get good seats today for Lewiston, then it's Lewiston. If not then it'll be Portland. Lewiston it is. Orchestra pit right, row 2, seats 116 and 118. WHOOT!!!! Pardon me. I'm excited.

Thank you, Jen. That helps.

I asked this in the East Coast dates thread as did another boarder. I figured that others were also wondering so I started a thread. I spent about an hour Googling many variations of Maine State Pier concerts reviews seating charts etc. and the best I could find is that the Baystock festival occurs there. It is a one day festival in Aug. This year is Guster headlining, last year it was John Fogetry and the year before Black Crowes. It was a frustrating search. I wanted an idea what the venue was like but could find nothing. I assume that it is general admission and you stand on a level surfa

Correct me if i'm wrong but it's 10% of the seats that are available for pre-sale not the 10% best seats. Right?

Of course but surely there are certain songs that you would personally enjoy hearing that you haven't heard often or ever? Not that you are upset if they don't play those songs but that you'd be excited if they did play them. Are you saying that when they do play a personal fave, especially one that you haven't heard live, that your emotional response stays the same as it was before?
-
NO!!! They played Candyfloss last night?? That is the 3rd time that I've missed it by 2 or 3 nights. Someday, someday soooon... I agree that it is hard to complain about the set lists. Would I love less of the 'crowd pleasers' and more of the catalogue/rarities? Hell yeah but I grasp that I am unlike what i assume to be the majority of wilco-goers. Most see them once a year, probably less. Most also have little if any knowledge or love for non-'hits' and non-album tracks. In the context of the majority of the fanbase, they do a great job of mixing it up. As much as I'd love it, they will nev

Sarah, I have the 14 Oct 2005 Asheville show. I'd be happy to send it to you though you may not want it as the discs, I believe, are flac but mp3 is on my harddrive. I don't know how to make a copy of the disc as flac. If you want mp3, pm me. Sorry I couldn't be of more help and sorry about your crash. Doug

Good question. I spent about an hour googling many variations of Maine State Pier concerts reviews seating charts etc. and the best I could find is that the Baystock festival occurs there. It is a one day festival in Aug. This year is Guster headlining, last year it was John Fogery and the year before Black Crowes. It was a frustrating search. I wanted an idea what the venue was like but could find nothing. I assume that it is general admission and you stand on a level surface with a raised stage. I am decideing between Artpark in Lewiston, NY and Portland. We love Portland but i am concerned

Wow. I thought that the set list was one of the best I've seen since they have been doing SBS songs, stemming from Oct 2005 in Asheville when I saw them do Walken. I appreciated that they didn't play any new songs. I wouldn't have minded if they did but I didn't miss them. I think my friend, Ben, put how excellent the show was in the most succinct way possible. "They were a Wilco jukebox tonight". I agreed (though I wouldn't have minded another Summerteeth tune or 2). Tragically bland? I found them to be extra energetic. It was a full on rock show. Strange how fans can experience the same conc

Thanks, birdjam. 'Nels seemed a little subdued though.' I don't know how I missed that. So we weren't the only ones. Did I miss the explanation as to Nels 'busting his ass'. I read and reread but I don't see a reply to the question. I don't recall anything like that and I was pretty close and observant.

I did not notice that. But did anyone else think that Nels was somewhat, for lack of a better term, subdued? I don't mean that in a negative way, that he is over the top or something. On the contrary, I very much enjoy watching and hearing Nels. I mean that he didn't seem to be a 'focal point' (again not meaning that he usually makes himself or is made a focal point). My buddy and I were discussing it later how we noticed a subtle change in the way that Nels played. Not tonally or anything like that but physically and temporally. Nels seemed more in the background. Aw, Jaysus, this sounds ridi
