  1. Very appropriate after the clash with the audience member.
  2. Ahhh, thanks. I was never that good with reading comprehension.
  3. >> This is wrong, right? Glen was in the bad before all those guys including Jay and Leroy, right?
  4. You might have my recording! I had mics set up in the soundboard area for that show (no affilation with anyone in the band......I just asked the soundboard guy if I could put my mic stand there, and he let me). Haven't listened to that show in ages though.
  5. Anyone remember the DC show at Constitution Hall in the (I think) IATTBYH days when Jeff tired to kick a guy in the head at the front of the stage?? It was near the end of the show and this guy went down the main aisle right to the front of the stage and tried to post for a photo with him in the front and Jeff singing in the background. IIRC, Jeff stepped up and took a swing at him with his leg and started yelling at him. "WHAT AM I, A TRAINED MONKEY?"
  6. Wow! Nice observation. It didn't occur to me at all at the time, but I think you nailed it. Even the shirt he wore (an oxford) reminds me of Levon in the Last Waltz. (as I google it, I see that the two shirts are not the same, but I did find a bunch of other photos of Levon wearing oxford-type shirts.) Anyhow, great observation.
  7. Cool, thanks! As I've grown lazy in my old age, I wish there was a good old fashioned option for gettting a disc in the mail. Another memory I just had from last night: At the end of the show, Jeff did a quick re-introduction of the band (first names only this time) and then hugged his son at center stage. Awwww.
  8. What does this mean? Are they releasing these shows for sale?
  9. Warning: A dissenting opinion ahead Very mellow show. VERY MELLOW. I feel like Jeff went from Dad Rock straight to Great Grandad Rock. Even the Wilco songs were super mellow. Skip the alcohol before the show and pound a Red Bull or six. Jeff was charming and funny as usual, but sadly for me, when I look back at the most memorable parts of the show, it's the between song banter and a few Wilco songs. There were a couple of new songs that could be defined as something other than a dirge, but for the most part it was s-l-o-o-o-w. He did thank the crowd for sitting through a full h
  10. 1 ticket, face value. Show is general admission. Reply here or PM me Thanks
  11. I haven't been in here in a long while so go easy on me, please! How do you pronounce "Sukierae" and what does it mean/what's the derivation? I've used all my powers of deduction to come up with this: Su = Sue = his wife's name. After that I'm lost.
  12. Try this link. It still shows tickets available http://www.ticketfly.com/purchase/event/533813?utm_medium=bks
  13. Just before they play he turns to the band and says "play fuckn' loud"
  14. True, but I'd rather he played at the Birchmere!
  15. Is there a pre-sale on Friday?!?! I thought the pre-sale was wednesday and the regular sale date was friday.
  16. Now that you mention it, I sort of remember that. I was very casual about getting there, ie I didn't arrive early or before the doors opened, and still got good seats. It doesn't hurt that the place is tiny. Now I just need to actually get tickets!
  17. Does anyone have any idea if it's all GA or just the first X number of rows? I couldn't find anything on the Lincoln's website. Really hoping for assigned seats somewhere in there!
  18. This was my first GD show. Weird personal note: Midnight Hour opened this show and it was the first and only time I saw it live. "Gloria" was the encore at my final show (Pittsburgh 95) and it was the first and only time I saw it live. My GD career was bookended by cover tunes that I only saw once! Anyhow, back to SPAC 85, did DSO do the "don't hang off the balcony" thing? Did they do the "my dog has no nose" joke? All that stuff happened right before Stagger Lee if I remember correctly. Another note about this show.............it has some of the quickest and most seemless transiti
  19. Anyone know the chords to this tune? I have it on a bootleg called "The Complete Singles". It's basically Summerteath with different chords and a different chorus (instead of the "it's just a dream he keeps having" part, they sing "tried and true". Anyhow, it's a cool progression, anyone know it?

So here's my standard tuning attempt based on your alternate attempt. There's the little D-riff that happens throughout the song which I tabbed out in open chord and barre chord format. Use which ever works best for you or alternate. Also, most of the rest of the chords sound better as 5th, not full chords. The lowercase letters at the "why's that true" part are supposed to represent single notes. One recording I had sounded like he played them, but you can leave them out if it's easier and go straight from the E chord to the D chord. I'm not totally sure about the end part with all th
  21. I just did a quick count of the number of different chords in Hummingbird: 17 Misunderstood: 2
  22. Good idea! I didn't mere mortals could do that............seriously, I didn't know these shows were open to the public in some fashion.
  23. Wow! You must have a low tollerance, but consider it let go. I've seen the light and now advocate that Jeff only plays shows for single payers. Bidding starts at 10 million dollars per seat, but the good news is there's only one seat. ;-)
  24. Yeah, I knew that. I was shocked when I first heard that policy. In fact, if you search the achives, you'll find me making damn near the same complaint in one of these LRS threads from years ago. I keep bringing it up in the (irrational) hope that Jeff/Sue/Someone sees it and reconsiders the position, if for no other reason than to sell them and make more money for the charity.
