  1. Yeah, but at least Mayer's voice is pretty "soothing". James Blunt's voice makes me want to chop of my ears with a blunt knife.
  2. I moved out of St. Louis in 2001. My friend called me this morning to tell me about this show, wish I could be there
  3. Man, I'm gonna be useless until tomorrow night. Only thing to contemplate is whether to eat at Campisi's or Snuffers before the show. Decisions...

I think screen door is really nothing more than what it's like to live in a poor small town and be at the age (18-22ish) when you only have a certain amount of responsibilities, especially if your in school.

I'm thinking that was his last lounge ax performane, if it's the same one where he talks about making sure he plays certain songs since it's his last oppertunity (besides the Wilco performance a few days later).

I wouldn't say it's simple at all. I completly agree with Nonlinear. Sometimes it's song's like these that I get the most out of. They are definitly the most fun for me to sit down and play.
  7. I got about 10 and decided to stop for now. I was thinking the grim reeper was "The Seventh Seal" but no dice.
  8. Solomon Burke - Nashville (apperantly "Is That The Thanks I Get?" was written for him by Jeff for this album but something happened) Of Montreal - Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer? Owen - At Home with Owen Pavement - Wowee Zowee Reissue Brian Wilson - Smile Not all new new but just some I've been listening to this last week.
  9. I wonder if that's Jeff or Pat's guitar.
  10. From what is known: Runtime is 45 minutes longer several new special features (interviews, reunion, Japan press tour home video, etc.) http://www.amazon.com/That-Thing-You-Do-Di...=UTF8&s=dvd Still remains one of my favorite movies based on how purely fun it is to watch. I would never call it groundbreaking, but the band performances (especially of "Little Wild One" and "Dance with Me Tonight") rival many live DVDs (of real bands) I've watched in terms of having that "feel" to them. They really did a great job of simulating what it feels like to play music with other people, infront
  11. In somewhat related news, the Directors Cut of "That Thing You Do!" comes out in mid March as a 2 disc set. Can't wait for that.
  12. I got in on the signed pre order, but the mail hasn't come yet. I'll tell you when I get it.
  13. I saw it at the Angelika in Dallas a few weeks ago. Great, great movie. Too bad I got there right before it started and had to sit front row. Definitly looking forward to seeing it again.
  14. I think this is about time he sneaks in one of his Cohiba's for old times sake.
  15. I'm gonna be there, and both nights Austin. mmhmm. I think we need a preshow board meetup at Snuffers. See if we can get Jeff to share some cheese fries.
  16. I can't think of a recent Apple product that didn't look just as slick in real life as the "renderings" during the keynotes.
  17. sma4GB model - $499 8GB model - $599 available: shipping in June I'll buy it when the price drops.
  18. Didn't Scott actually write that though?
  19. Me 24 hours from now... "Children of Men"
  20. Couldn't agree more. Good thing it's almost at the end of the album.
  21. Man, hearing Jeff say it sounds similer to Being There couldn't make me happier. That combined with Jim O'Rourke mixing, I think I might just hibernate until April.
