Great work Charles. UT's website used the first in that series to advertise the Austin shows.

I posted it cause it was Jeff's brother commenting on the "fan punching" incident. I just came across it and figured someone here might be interested in it. This is the first time I've heard anything from any of Jeff siblings. Sorry if I wasted your time.

I think he looks slick as always.

I was nearly asleep on the couch watching the Stars game and I heard my dad start yelling like somebody died. Bad night for fans of any Dallas team.

I can't believe I stopped watching this game in the middle of the 2nd period.

To tell you the truth, I would rather wait for them to put out a live dvd they are happy with after they release the next album rather than have them release lackluster footage just because, since that might lessen the chances of another live dvd. I think we should trust Tweedy & Co that the footage simply wasn't up to par, which tells us that they probably have a good idea of the kind of live dvd they would want to put out. Who knows, but one thing is for sure, they really need a good live dvd at this point, especially with this lineup.

When was the last time you listened to a Wilco album start to finish?
socbret replied to tongue-tied's topic in Just A Fan
YHF just this afternoon. I have a 6 disc changer in my car and 4 of the spots are always taken up by Wilco albums so, nearly every day. -
Me and my friend were playing Madden on the Wii and talking about the game and I kept humming the song. Nice Joel Gion avatar by the way

I agree with all of you...and I would try to think of something clever to say about them...but I can't stop laughing because of HighFives signature. Genius.

Uhm...I can get you #6. Making list's like that is fun, that way if you come across a million dollars one day out of the blue you'll know exactly what to do with it.

Lmao, I mentioned to my friend a week or two ago when this commercial popped up that the riff sounded completly ripped off from "Timebomb". I wasn't even listening to the voice. Oy vey .

Just went through Wendy's and they were giving out free "Texas Music" cds if you got a Dr. Pepper with your meal. I saw that Rhett Miller was on it, and thought that was pretty funny. Anybody get a chance to listen to it, and if so what track is it?

Oh OK, I gotcha now. Yeah, try what Josh said, I used to use that program and it worked well.

I guess it really just depends on if your stereo can read .mp3 files (I'm not sure how many steroes read the .aiff files, and it's easy to go and convert them using iTunes). If you are using OSX and simply drag the files into the burn folder, technically what you are doing is the same as creating a data cd in itunes. If you don't mind me asking, why are you trying to avoid using iTunes?

...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead
socbret replied to Sweet Papa Crimbo's topic in Someone Else's Song
To me they will never regain that perfect mixture of danger and beauty they had on Madonna and Source Tags & Codes. These last 2 albums might pass as good for a band who hasn't already show how much potential they had. I really expected Trail of Dead to reach Sonic Youth levels until Worlds Apart came out. And with So Divided...I don't think theres any going back. -
I saw Charlie Louvin and Emmylou Harris (among others good and bad) at the Friday Night Opry in Nashville last night. They both did good, though Emmylou's backing band Kennedy-Rose made me want to hurl myself off the balcony.

Personally on my G5 I store all my music on my 160 gb drive, and then all my video on an external that gets moved around from a few machines and is backed up anyways. I feel a lot more comfortable having my music on an internal IDE connected drive, I have never had a problem with that. If it's not too much of a pain I would get a new internal drive, or at least a different brand of external drive. Everyone I know with Lacie drives has had them crash multiple times.
