  2. For a few weeks I played several PF Sloan, so maybe in a coming week..... Meanwhile tune in today November 22 at 12 Central for more musical comfort food and some strange stuff. More Gil Scott-Heron, Mavis Staples, Pentangle, Tom Waits, lots of Mose Allison and Sharon Stone, more Jennifer Warnes, Numero Eccentric Soul, Lennie Tristano and other crazy stuff. Always fun, I think. LouieB
  3. So we have finally turned the entire federal government over to the religious right and the trickle down economics crew. I guess we will see what they do with this country. For better or worse the government changes slowly, so maybe not too much damage will be done in the next four years. Of course if you support this type of policy then I guess you just won Yatzee. Congrats. LouieB
  4. Mose was a quirky talent to be sure. He had a great career though. I plan to play some of his songs next Tuesday. LouieB
  5. Funny. I despise that era Moody Blues. They got played too much during my college years. LouieB

  9. Okay, make it four then. That Monkees song is just this side of terrible but everyone loves the Monkees. Look for these in a week. LouieB
  10. Hey Mike, find one more obscure song and I'll make a set out of them. Not going to be this week, but next week. LouieB

  14. Which song was that? It is really hard to listen to the actual music when you are doing radio, I have to cue records, log them, think of things to say, and not panic when equipment doesn't work as planned. Just curious. Can look for the Mott Song sometime. This week is too full. LouieB
  15. Are we at 10 more days until this shit is over? Oh yea, it's never really over anymore. LouieB
  16. Very good album. Another triumph for Kelly Hogan. Oh yea everyone else does great too. LouieB
  17. I really liked your suggestion. Will play it again sometime and did give you a shout out. The news is a mixed blessing. I have no idea where they are from, but they always show up just a few minutes late, which is irritating. LouieB
  18. Don't get me started on Pet Sounds, which is a good album by any measure, but not the overwhelming masterpiece it is always billed as. Having said that I own three copies. LouieB
  19. I like the drama of voting on the actual Election Day. It seems so much more important. LouieB
  20. Two more weeks....then get out and vote like your life depended on it. LouieB
