  1. Mine are real! . I attribute the recent occurrence of Wilco dreams to having been watching the videos, listening to the tunes, and spending an inordinate amount of time around here. Outside of famous people dreams, I find that I'm more likely to dream about people who are just acquaintances than I am to dream about my closer friends and family peeps. Dreams are just all kinds of weird...I use to be really into them (had a Freud thing going on) but now I just kind of enjoy them and try not to think too much about trying to make sense out of them.
  2. I agree, you really were robbed! She's a total doll! Maybe there will be a second round of winners and that's why they haven't taken the link off of the main page at Wilcoworld?
  3. Awesome stuff! The watermelon is reallly cool.
  4. Really cool place. The bear looks a bit like Chewbacca! Did you actually tag your car that way?
  5. Thanks! My alternate prize is a pair of shoes (I picked a pair for the photo's wee model) and a signed poster. I hope the actual ACL attendee is around these parts so I can read all about it and live vicariously through them.
  6. Here it comes.....I did get the three-day passes. (Hearts break, beans spill.) I am unable to attend on such short notice though, so I had to reply and decline them. (Hearts reassemble). Surely, I'll get a cool enough alternate prize. It's going to be really cool to see the pic on the site. I'll have to snag a screen capture to save and show off to my kiddo in future years.
  7. I think I am officially jinxed now but thanks to all for your support!
  8. Hopefully(?), they've already handed out the ACL passes. It's pretty down to the wire for peeps to make arrangements to attend those. I could really go for some signed poster or something myself! Edit: Farmer Guy is great. Some nice looking tomatoes there!
  9. I had a Wilco dream last night! I dreamed that some friends of mine and I were all going to this hippyfied camping thing (think "Rainbow Gathering") but not together. After everyone was settled into their camping spots, I went to visit my friends at theirs and who did they have camping with them? Nels!! I was like, "You guys know Nels!!! Woah!" So, I was jealous of their camp site because it was bigger and fancier than mine, they had these really cool mutant fish in the river near their tents, and they had Mr. Nels Cline staying with them. Dreams are some weird stuff...but fun!
  10. There's bourbon on the breath Of the singer you love so much He takes all his words from the books That you don't read anyway smell from Poor Places.
  11. I bet that flick is going to sweep the Oscars. You know Crowley is George Bush's granddad, right? Thanks to stumbleupon, I do!
  12. I have bunches of favorites but for the moment I'll go with these particular bits of Summer Teeth: Like a cloud his fingers explode On the typewriter ribbon, the shadow grows ......... and.......... ........ One summer, a suicide Another autumn, a traveler's guide He hits snooze twice before he dies
  13. My next-door neighbor stopped me while I was coming home a couple of nights ago and explained to me that there had been some kind of violent altercation when the "drug dealers" who live down the street broke into his home earlier in the week. Now, I'm just trying to get decorations up and cake together for my little munchkin's birthday tomorrow but I'm finding it difficult to relax and get things done. Freakin' paranoia and anxiety that I thought I'd gotten rid of months ago is coming back to me now. Sucks!
  14. When I read about this some time back, I was horrified as well. I did some research back then and if I recall correctly, he only took a few classes and it was some time ago. I think it may have been some relationship counseling thing with his ex-wife Carmen, possibly. I've never watched his tv show but I looooooves me some Jason Lee. Oh! Here is an actual rundown of his involvement.
  15. I think that picture is pretty great even without any kids in it! I want to play in the sand too!
  16. and d) the loudest most obnoxious ringtone in the solar system.
  17. It's not as gross as all of that. She's perfectly cute and clean 99% of the time. I've seen other 2 yr-olds behave much more ickily. Because the runny nose thing is a new problem, we haven't had the opportunity to discuss it with her until recently...we're working on it. Why do kids do that stuff anyway? I know they don't understand the full spectrum of hygiene practices until they are taught what to do but what's the deal with kids thinking the grossest possible solutions are appropriate until we tell them otherwise?
  18. Noooooo! We should get a spoiler alert next time! I really wanted to anticipate and be all surprised when the band started up. I knew I should have stayed out of this thread. I knew it! I knew it! Note: Not being mean.
  19. I went to a "Pizza Picnic" at my daughter's school where I know none of the other parents and ended up hanging around by myself watching the kids play like some loner-freak mom. Plus, the pizza was cold and hard but I'll still donate to help cover the cost. The lemonade was tasty! On a similar note, my kiddo never had runny noses (or at least very rarely) before she started school and now she gets them regularly. My biggest whine about that is that I cannot convince her that it's not cool to wipe one's nose with one's entire arm and then proceed to lick the snotty arm.
  20. Kick my vote into the Ryan Adams bucket.
  21. Freaky. Maybe the contest is over. Bummer for those who haven't entered yet. Sort of makes me hopeful though that winners will be announced soon! Edit: Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
