Highly unlikely. I've got no clue what the Wilcos dream about but I do know that in my dream, John was a fan of "Goodnight Moon."

I dreamed that I met John at a children's book store. We talked about children's classics. He fell madly in love with me, of course, and we drove away in a red convertible Ford Fairlane. It was pretty weird.

But..but...but...Jimi has his pee-pee forever immortalized in plaster. My thoughts: Foo Fighters =not my cup of tea. Doors =I liked them when I was a young teen. Nels =obviously, he's the bee's knees. Jimi =I can definitely appreciate Jimi, anyone who'd try to discredit him altogether would have to be nuts and let us not forget that for some, "You can listen to Jimi but you can't hear him. There's a difference man. Just because your listening to him doesn't mean you're hearing him." (You know, Jeff was almost "immortalized in plaster" also.)

That sucks. I hope everything got sorted out well enough for him/her. Have the bad guys been caught?

We are endlessly getting catalog ads from Discmakers. I've got no idea why...we don't need the service but I browse through the thing anyway and they seem to have some pretty reasonably priced packages. There are probably others around here who are much more qualified to give advice in this arena but you might check out the discmakers thing anyhow.

I had a professor, an ex-FBI and ex-county judge, who pretty much made it mandatory that his students check Drudge every morning before class. I also found that watching Fox news regularly was a good way to follow his class discussions. He's quiet a character.

Yeah, Drudge is just linking to the National Enquirer. He links to some pretty wacky stuff sometimes.

Considering the sources for that story are PerezHilton, Entertainment Tonight and National Enquirer, I'll wait for a more reputable confirmation to get really bummed about this. That article and another I checked out use a lot of words like "possible" suicide and "reportedly" a suicide attempt. Hopefully the suicide attempt part isn't true...maybe he just fell and cut himself on something. I hate when the media guys all feel like they have to report something right away so they jump in there and print stories that may or may not be true.

I'm with lysistratasmith on this...not lying is a good idea.

I'd say go back to whatever Tweedy solo you've been listening to and see how you feel about the non-Wilco songs he does there and then decide with that in mind. I like Loose Fur's "Born Again in the USA" an awful lot, myself.

I've been to other non-club stores that check receipts on your way out. They tend to check you when you've got larger type purchases such as televisions or computers which I think is kind of funny because you'd have to be pretty confident to think you could walk in and pick up a tv then walk right out without stopping by the register first.
