Downright freaky, really.

It really is an excellent song. They are all excellent songs! So true!

I drive in my car, listen to Kamera and pretend I don't have any responsibilities waiting for me at home. It feels good to escape to some Wilco every once in a while. I'm counted out And no one knows how far (tell 'em I'm lost) I've driven in the dark (tell 'em I'm lost) With echoes in my heart (tell 'em I'm lost)

You're totally welcome! After I posted my response to you, I realized I hadn't shopped around that site lately and so I hopped over and picked myself up some hummingbird earrings (Wilco stylee!).
-
Definitely one of my favorite movies ever. The scene where they put the cows down is remarkably beautiful and holds so much with so little effort.
-
If there were just a few, it would be for me too but they are all over the place. I'm also suspicious that the support is coming from some of the more unlikeable of my fellow townspeople...those who sport Confederate flags in their trucks' back windows and insist that "The South will rise again!"

You should check etsy.com. Search her fav band names or just search "music" and you'll find all kinds of neat and girly things like little mini record earrings. The site is a place for individuals to sell their handmade wares. Lots of the stuff is made with recycled materials and you can also feel good about supporting independent designers/craftspeople. There's something there for every possible budget too!

The greatest impression I have of Ron Paul is that his supporters who live in my town should come up with a nicer way of spreading their message. In my reasonably small town (pop. about 15,000), there are signs like this everywhere... These signs are hand scribbled in magic marker and taped to poles and trees all over the place. Others say, "Vote Ron Paul! No taxes!"

"In the end, though music can be brilliant at times, the whole medium comes off as derivative of Pavement." Hilarious!

From my partner's Photo A Week efforts... It said, "People need to know my name! It's Cherry (with a heart on it) Keep it in your f*cken' head b*tch! (heart) Cherry (heart)" He thought it was a pretty funny find.

Maybe this? Edit: More specifically, the new pictures are here if you want to peek without having to refresh and stuff.
-
That's amazing.

I'm really hoping we get this at our theater. This has nothing to do with Christian Bale being not too tough to look at, of course.
-
I dream of baked goods...

One of the coolest things ever! How cool and normal are Tony and his wife?! I want them for neighbors. Watched last night on IFC: I started watching it about ten minutes in so I had no idea what it was. I looooooved it and was so thrilled about having stumbled upon something and enjoying so much. When the credit began with "directed by Michel Gondry," I thought, "Oh, well of course I enjoyed that."

How tall is he, really? My partner insists that Jeff is mega short.

About 4:02 to 4:06 when Spiders breaks open and the first 4 seconds of I'm the Man That Loves You.

Yeaaaah, baby!* *not expressing my enthusiasm for shaved scrotum here...just that, y'know, Austin Powers said all of that stuff.

Bird is so awesome.

Just checking...wasn't sure of your age as the age range around here is so varied. Not really so different from you as a kid or different from me considering our ages. However if you were 60 and detailing how you had stayed at home as a kid (in the '50s), I'd imagine your childhood was a little different than that of kids today. I apologize for thinking you might be a baby boomer...it's difficult to gauge ages around here because we are all so wise and mature.
-
How long ago was this though? Kids are different now...and depending on the neighborhood and such it may have been entirely inappropriate to leave them alone in this case.
-
Just kinda curious on who I will get to see (in addition to Wilco) when I watch the broadcast. Hmmmm...maybe one of those artists taping around the same time, such as Regina Spektor?
-
Any word on who will be on the show with them, anyone?
-
I got that a while back...now it's on my long list of stuff I've bought and will take forever to get around to actually reading! Now reading: Loving the bejesus out of Bukowski.
