  1. Now another thing is kinda gettin' on my nerves... another thing that's kinda gettin' on my nerves is this national 21 drinking age Huh? what do ya think about that? A bunch of malarky whatever malarky is man it's a whole bunch of it.. you know if Reagan finally gets the war he's lookin for you think he's gonna be draftin' 21 year olds? No man they're gonna be draftin' 18 and 19 year olds but ya cant buy beer you can get married and screw yourself up real good but ya can't buy beer ya can charge 8 million dollars on the mastercharge but ya can't buy beer you can vote for one fool or another bu
  2. Here is a pdf of the seating in detail.
  3. Gadzooks! I was row K and then I got bumped back to row L...seat thief! I kid, of course. I'm at 224, 22, 223. Now I just need to find myself a couple of dates to escort me.
  4. With this presale thing....does buying early get you better seats? I'm supposed to be in class at 10:00 but I'm flirting with the idea of showing up for that "learning stuff" late so that I can jump right in and buy my Little Rock tickets.
  5. It's sort of apples and oranges isn't it? I came to Wilco after Jay was pretty well gone so there's really no missing Jay for me. I absolutely adore Nels, he's got such a great and unique sound and he seems to be a pretty wonderful guy.
  6. Hilarious! Can we speculate about what kind of light bulbs Jeff Tweedy uses and when/where he bought them?
  7. When his eight year-old son hits his ten year-old son, the boy will say, "I had to hit him before he hit me, papa! He was going all Fredo up in here!"
  8. I have not indulged in the boozey-boo for more than three weeks(?) now...peeking into this thread makes me thing 'tis about time to visit the liquor store.
  9. Neat! I've been to lala before....nifty cd trading thing.
  10. Enjoyable viewing! What is on Nels tee? Also, what is on your tee...it's Pucca-esque, but I'm pretty sure that's not what it is.
  11. Thanks to all for the helpful advice! Applying the cold pack/heat sent the swelling away and now I'm just waiting around for a gnarly bruise to show up. Where's the fun in getting hurt if you can't have some cool battle scar to show off?
  12. My honey and I have been watching Deadwood from the beginning on DVD (we never saw it the first time around). It's SO good! Swearengen is one cool f*cking c*cksucka!
  13. My pop-up blocker or something wouldn't let me get it either so I just used the "print screen" key and pasted it into photoshop, which is why I have the nifty blue background.
  14. I guess it's close enough. I do wear a lot of green and I do own a pair of orange sneakers (but I never wear them with jeans). The nose is pretty accurate.
  15. Thanks everyone! I'll keep you posted on the outcome.
  16. It doesn't hook up via USB and I'm too much of a dunce to know how to explain how it does operate, so here is a pic that might answer your question... all it has in the back are those red and white plugs and the electric plug. Hopefully this is helpful! ps...That's my Wilco book bag that I used to prop up the record player for my pic...gotta represent!
  17. I'm going to wait 24 hrs. and if my condition is the same or only slightly improved, I'm going to try this technique. Ice-pack schmice-pack...let's see some blood! (Or maybe I'll just lop it off today...it is Friday the 13th!) I broke my leg when I was a wee lass and it hurt like a mofo so I've been assuming that since I'm not freaking out in pain my arm can't possibly be broken. Now I'll have to keep your tale of childhood woe in mind while monitoring my progress.
  18. I thought about the whole waiting could make it worse thing, but when I push around on the ouchie spots to see whats going on in there, all of the bone stuff seems to be in place and I feel like it would probably hurt more than it does if there were actually a break. I've got a copy of Sicko at the house and have been meaning to watch it soon..maybe I'll pop it in tonight so I can really feel what's going on with the movie seeing as how I probably would have gone to the doc already if the $$$ wasn't an issue.
  19. It's not terribly painful. Mostly just inconvenient to have lumpiness on the part of my arm that usually rests on my desk or bed etc. That's a lot of good advice. I'll try some of this stuff out. I'm sure it'll be okay. I'll hang out with it for a few days and see what happens. Thanks a bunch, oh wise ones of the VC!
  20. That's pretty much how I've been feeling about it. The kid is covered and healthy as all get out. Thanks for the response!
  21. I know there are some on this board who can give a little legal advice and other such professional opinions so I thought I'd give this a shot... I slipped on some cement steps in the rain yesterday and landed on my arm just below my elbow. My arm is mobile and everything but there is swelling in the little hollow line that runs down the bottom of my arm. It's not showing any bruising but it's tender to the touch. Should I put ice on it or something? I'm uninsured and would rather not go to the doc if it's not necessary. I have no idea what my arm is made up of underneath the skin...I'm sure
  22. Based on your liking Tegan and Sara, I'd recommend Rough Bunnies. And my default recommendation to everyone is always to check out Clem Snide and Eef Barzelay (of Clem Snide) if you don't already know them. Music Map can be a pretty cool way to find out about new stuff that you may like. Just type in a band that you like and it'll give you examples of bands that other people who listen to the band you like also listen to.
  23. I guess there's something to tripping while watching people tripping in movies. I once caught Alice Cooper's "Welcome to My Nightmare" video the morning after acid...I was pretty well straight but for seeing tracers. The Cooper video has tracers in it anyway...so that was fun for me, "seeing tracers of tracers" was an inside joke for awhile. This was on M2 back when all they had was music videos. That same morning they played all of The Cure's music videos...it was awesome for me. I vegged out with a little bit of dope in me and a jar full of cookies on someone else's couch watching the Cure a
  24. My daughter has the poster in her bedroom and everything. She's outgrowing them now. I didn't mind it too much when she was into it and wanted to watch the videos regularly. Boo-bah, however, is some crazy ass shit.
