I've learned that all songs sound awesome when they are sung in French.

I had a sex dream about John once. There, I said it. I've had naughty dreams about Letterman before too. So, obviously, I have no control over such things.

Awww, man! I very nearly watched that!

I believe Pat's windmills swing both ways, actually.

I'm sort of concerned about that happening with the Wilco Vdub ads. The songs will never be run into the ground for me, of course, but I worry that with the commercial being played 5 times during a two hour block of tv (this happened during the mythbusters shark shows), people who haven't had the chance to love the songs will start to hate them. It could possibly scare off new Wilco fans. If it was only on the tube every now and then , people might go, "Hey! That sounds cool! What band is this?" or if it's on all of the time, "I hate this soooong!" *click. In the end, the commercial use of th -

I am thoroughly enjoying this youtube video of I'm a Wheel from an old Leno show. (If the uploader is a VC folk...thanks!) Two questions : 1. Do Nels and Jeff have twin Jazzmasters? 2. Aren't Pat's windmills absolutely freakin' wonderful? I can't not smile when I see them!

There are an awful lot of businesses that don't guarantee a minimum number of hours...especially those businesses where the employee pool is mostly teens and twenty-somethings. On another note, who does Starbucks think they are refusing to sell music with sexual themes? They put that brownie drowning in caramel right there in the case, in plain sight for children and everyone to see, and the thing is clearly screaming, "Make sweet love to me, darlin'. Put me into your mouth, baby."

Reader's Digest has a large print edition. I think this is for masturbators.

Even though I've read the lyrics a million times, I still hear "She cut your throat and she cut your hair" instead of "Broke your throne." Creeeeepy.

I think you'll find that most folks around here don't have trouble with the spelling on that one...we all have excellent taste! Nice list.

We have these Sennheiser HD 202. They are mega cheap, $25. I like them rather well...they are super comfy, have a nice long cord and they sound great. I know that there are much nicer ones out there that are even better but if you want some low-priced Sennheiser, I recommend these. goodcans.com is a good place to look for some ideas too.

I really liked Diet Coke W/ Lemon...no longer available in the U.S. Try Diet Coke Plus! It has vitamins!

I like Allison Crowe's cover . Girlifies it up a bit without straying too far from Leonard.

An awesome listen! Thanks for the heads up/link! The Rush discussion was enjoyable too!

Cake decorating is never boring! If you are not already a member of cakecentral.com, you must join! It's an awesome resource for tips and tricks and people there understand cake obsession the way folks here understand Wilco obsession.

Holy jeez, people. Please don't seek out the loft and stalk the band or anything. It seems to have been a pretty swell place for Wilco music-making so let's not force them to move away or keep big burly security guards with them at all times. And I'll sign whatever petition we need to in order to get that loft insulated. But wouldn't that deprive their neighbors of all the free Wilco shows they must get to hear?

As someone who is intrigued by Zappa but not really a "fan" yet, I am thinking of checking out one of these Zappa Plays Zappa shows this August. Is this a good idea? Anyone else going to any of these?
