  1. When they get name dropped in a Judd Apatow film.
  2. I got to see UT twice, and I would love a chance at number three. For those who are unsure on the idea I understand, but I promise you would enjoy the show. and yes, the Dinosaur Jr. reunion tour did rock
  3. I laughed when I read your post. I began to notice the change with the release of WTA.....
  4. Sorry. Didn't know it mattered if I used caps or not. Should we start a poll?
  5. WILCO is a great band that is at their best when they are moving forward and breaking conventions. This is why WTA is their least inspiring to date. It is a rehash of WILCO from the past 15 years. A "country album" would be a move back to Anodyne, A.M., and Being There. All GREAT albums and some of my favorite recorded work, but I would suspect that the band would prefer to move forward and not backward. What about that "Dirty Soul Record" Jeff was talking about in interviews prior to SBS? That is a record I would love to hear....something in the vain of The Thanks I Get...but funkier and wi
  6. I view this as a game, and thus will not take it too serious. Faves and least faves of the moment(they are always changing)... AM-Dash 7/ I Must Be High BT-Misunderstood/Someday Soon MMA-One by One/ Another Mans Done Gone ST-Candyfloss/We're Just Friends MMA2-Mountain Bed/ Blood of the Lamb YHF-Pot Kettle Black/Reservations AGIB-ALTWYS/Hell is Crome SBS-Impossible Germany/Please Be Patient With Me WTA-One Wing/Everlasting(my least favorite Wilco song of all time)
  7. I find that spelling and grammer should be subjective anyway. Often times more meaning is convied in a mispelling intentional or not. And I like the spirit of your review Panther, the songs sound best live. This is not a "great" record though, and I feel like you let the band off the hook due to previous greatness. It is like Amniesiac by Radiohead. Good record, but for Radiohead it was a low water mark. They bounced back in the studio, and Wilco will too. But for now, it is my opinion this is the worse record the band had ever made. It is all relative. If this record had been made by
  8. Yo La Tengo is a truly great and underappreciated band. I would have loved to be in the crowd for this performance.
  9. that says it for me as well. it does not take a whole lot of risks short of Bull Black Nova. I like risks.....
  10. The band has been in line to get this type of exposure for awhile. Been listening to tweedy an co. for over twenty years (tupelo + wilco). It is about time.
  11. I know the lyrics to wilco songs. That was an actual status I posted after a long weekend with the kids. It was supposed to be fun, and many of my friends "got" the joke. Thank you "that guy". More and more people on this site seem to be in a race to be "The Wilco Superfan". It didn't used to be that way.
  12. also 5/1/03 if you like the e.p. they play alot of it. p.s. thanks agian for getting me the 5/1/03 show mike. it is one i return to quite a bit.
  13. i like the e.p version the best, in fact it is one of my favorite studio tracks. it has a loose and organic feel that gets lost on AGIB. i think the lineup for the e.p. was JT/LB/JS/GK/MJ....the same as AGIB. so i guess i agree about the production comment.....
  14. me too. Grouping does not make any sence and says little. I would have like to have voted: BT, ST, YHF, and AGIB.
  15. J.T. Moore is overcome by a Monday morning jet-lag calm
  16. Don't be annoyed. Life is too short. Celebrate what you have in common with folks, not the little differences.
  17. so many wars that just can't be won.......even before the battles begun.....
  18. i wanted to be right, and for him to be alive. this is so sad. so long jay bennett. i will always think of what would have been.
  19. This is bullshit. Take no more time. There would be some text somewhere to be of proof....
  20. and I was making a general reply. it's cool..i just want to hear the record.
