  1. Favre is the most exciting, most fun QB to watch. It is a Shakespearean tale, up-and-down, laugh and cry. But he is not the best QB. despite all the off-field crap and drama, i still like the guy. quietly and to myself....my GB friends would rip me.
  2. "shoulda, coulda, woulda......" says the announcers.
  3. tips for a live show? watch Nels play guitar. it is an amazing experience. watch Glenn play drums. he is a serious banger. at one point, close your eyes, turn up your ears, and just breathe in the awesomeness that is wilco live.
  4. as a lifelong Packer fan and one who has seen many of Favre's interceptions,i feel close to the vikings fans right now. they can feel our pain. sorry guys, Favre is great but damn, another bad way to end an opportunity to go the Super Bowl.
  5. they jump out of water because the vibrations of the motor scare them or irritate them, they literally leap into the boat so where a hockey or football helmet cuz they could kill ya. again, carp suck, dumb fish.
  6. they were good on Conan last night, Britt's high voice was a little off at times but still a good performance.
  7. carp suck. i discovered that feeling when i was a kid. i fed them pretzel nuggets hand-to-mouth off a pier. he basically opened his mouth and i plopped the nugget in. what a dumb fish.
  8. i sort of feel bad for this lady but then again she signed up for it. so i guess i dont feel bad for her and the criticism stowed upon her. that sorta sounded Palin....my bad.
  9. back around the release of Being There, Wilco performed with Roger McGuinn. I think the concert was on VH1. He mentioned how he listened to the Byrds all the time while driving in his car during High School. HE said thats how he learned to harmonize.
  10. i really like this album. one listen so far but it is a strong delivery. Maybe not as good as GaGaGa or Gimme Fiction but very strong. Fits nicely into their discography.
  11. Ha! Its funny when John messes up at 0:20 seconds and then shrugs his shoulders and hands. Probably his first or second stab at the song. -- So the Record Club songs are professionally released? Just for entertainment on Beck's website? really? This project has really pumped up Beck in my mind. Well, Sea Change initiated that feeling but this project is real great like Choo-Choo-Charlie said
  12. Ryan Adams? i see what you are saying but i dont know. I read he is recording or has recorded an album with pal Jesse Malin but who knows if that gets released? also, last i read he was persuing farmer's markets with his wife and cooking at home.
  13. i think it has a lot to do with Britt's ego.
  14. this is her cover the of song, it doesnt have to be an exact replica of the wilco song, hence the cover. it is her interpretation. hell, she could have added or subtracted a lyric or two and that would be ok with me. i really dig the cover. but i still like the cover of IATTBYH by JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound. totally the best. http://www.myspace.com/theuptownsound
  15. it makes sense to do the Evening With Wilco and play songs from all records. They have a lot of new fans that dont know the old songs. Here is a chance to possibly sell more records from the old days if the new fans get into songs off AM Being There Mermaid Ave, etc...
  16. doesnt David Lowery from Cracker call Richmond home? that would be a cool double bill Cracker/Wilco? well maybe 1997 Being There era.....
  17. HAPPY FOR YOU ALL!!! (midwesterner..)
  18. easy win=easy money congrats i'd put that $400 down on Saturday's game on the J-E-T-S
  19. nothing against Canada but the Classic should stay in the States at least for a few more years and then go back to Canada. Hockey isnt popular in the US and it is in Canada so it seems smart on a PR level to play it in the States. New York, Philly, Detroit, St. Louis, some place cold on the 1st.
