That PK was pretty dirty. I had to keep switching back and forth between this and golf.

What's the price of gas where you are?
stickman replied to Twisted Acres's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
4.95 for regular at the exit near the freeway over here in Santa Barbara. That's the most expensive and the cheapest I've seen the past couple o days was 4.29. -
Heh, thanks! I love her a lot, she's always down to play and run around...geeze I'm happy I'm going home for 2 weeks at the end of the month. Yeah mom and sister, I'll be glad to see you too...

As you can see she loves to hang out with that party hat on. We've got a 9 year old Golden from Bluffton, South Carolina named Bailey Anne. Here's a video I just tossed onto youtube: That little pounce she does at the end to pick up her toy is one of my favorite things in life. She makes a scrunchy face and snorts whenever she sees someone she hasn't been around for a while so it's always fun to come home from school after a couple of months....she's a great dog.

Is Clouds the one by Quasi?

I saw this earlier today and the most interesting part of it to me was not in the article but on the side of the page it had the day's most popular stories. This was number one, Ted Kennedy was number two, and an article on how Ethiopian children are dying daily.

That baton thing is pretty crazy. I wonder how people come up with theories like that. That would be really cool if it was true, but I don't know...

I dig it. I kind of liken it to an album that Nick Drake would have made had he been from Portland or Seattle in the 90s.

So anybody heard anything on a new album? Or been to any shows recently? Hot Shit! is on repeat for me right now. Turns out after a quick little search on the Google I found that once the Jicks wind down after promoting their record, Quasi'll be back in the studio so it's looking like the fall of this year. But if you head over to Daytrotter they have a session they did in April that has a couple of new tunes. Worth checking out!

Got my tickets for August 8th..woo!

That's a shame....I love Plan-it-x and what they do.

I fell asleep at an Elton John concert...I think I was 10 at the time. At Bonnaroo in 2006 I walked out of MMJ's midnight set after about a half an hour because I was just too exhausted. I got back to my camp and heard them covering the Who's A Quick One and I proceeded to kick myself for leaving. Another really funny thing that involves a play and sleeping: I was in London with my friend and his parents and we went to see a play (can't remember which one now). As we sit in our seats my friend's dad says to me "England is a lot more cultured than America. Their performances aren't for simp

Holy super-sweet-sixteen Batman! I love that guitar.

I used to listen to them a lot, but haven't much in the past year or two. I was big on Reinventing Axl Rose and As the Eternal Cowboy....actually now that you mention, I really really enjoy Eternal Cowboy. I like everything about it especially the album art. The Cavalier Eternal/You Look Like I Need A Drink single or EP or whatever is one of my favorite album covers. I saw them in either 2002 or 2003, before As the Eternal Cowboy came out and it was great. They were still really small and it was a tiny club and I was really into punk rock at the time so it was great. Anyway good stuff. Have

A quick aside: my really good friend's cousin won a couple of Tony's for Spring Awakening. Back on topic, this episode was definitely in my top 3. As much as I don't feel completely comfortable with it, my dislike for Ben wanes with each episode.

What's the worst thing you ever ran thru the washer?
stickman replied to kidsmoke's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
The amount of pens I've washed is much too much to count. A couple of months ago I had a freshly opened pack of cigarettes in my shirt pocket and that was a lot of fun. Back in middle school when my mom used to do my laundry, she got to keep any money found in my pockets. That was one of the few reasons I was glad she forced me to do my own once I hit high school. -
I never appreciated him until this summer when I drove across the country, I listened to an episode of This American Life where he was interviewed about writing love songs and something clicked. It was a really good episode.

I, for one, am very about Thursday nights.

Disregarding your stipulation of same album... "Stickman" (unreleased) and "Stickman" (unreleased) by Elliott Smith oh and also "Everything's OK" (unreleased) and "Pretty Mary K" (New Moon) by Elliott Smith All four songs are great studio versions. Not exactly what you were looking for, but the only thing I could think of.
