I kept my eye open for that $100 7" while I was at Soundscapes the other day, didn't see it, but I didn't look too thoroughly either. Maybe next time. Seeing that Wrens one just makes me impatient for the new one.

I thought it was a funny coincidence too. How are those Wrens and One Hundred Dollars 7"? (I love both those bands)

I love a lot of the so called classic Country stuff like: Hank, Tammy, Ray Price, George Jones, Jim Reeves, Waylon, Merle, and Loretta. I also really love the outlaw country artists like Kris, Willie, Merle, Waylon, and the whole Texas scene (Rodney Crowell, Guy Clark, Steve Earle, Flatlanders, Steve Young, Townes.) So much great music that falls into or near the Country category. There's some artists that kind of border Country that I love too, like Lee Hazlewood. Anyone else a fan?

I have a feeling fac93 is looking for the "Ashes" DVD, which comes out on Record Store Day. I doubt any of the local chain stores around my place will be carrying this. I think I'm going to have venture into the big bad city and go to my favorite indie for this. Just as well, I prefer my money go to them anyway.

Too bad the screenings weren't before the DVD release. Nevertheless it would be great to see it on a big screen. I'll have to see if I can make one of these. Thanks for the heads up . -

Watched the DVD earlier, now onto the CD.

I just read the Exclaim article the other day actually . I never delved too far into them when they were around but the article made me want to revisit some of that old stuff.

Happy Birthday Lauren! I hope it's a good one.

It's 3-DVD5s (about 5-6 hours) worth of footage from the Let It Be film project: They've taken every available frame of footage and compiled it in a chronological order. You get lots of studio performances, studio playback sessions, and Yoko endlessly sitting beside John . So yeah, way more expansive than the Let It Be film. I downloaded it from a film site recently. I can give you guys an invite if you want to download it there (PM me with an email address if you're interested.) If you can't do the download thing, I could do a trade, that would be no problem. If there are more people inter

It's not dead with me as I still buy retail CDs and LPs as well as CD-r media for burning lossless downloads. Music sales would indicate otherwise for the average music consumer. Sadly people seem to be getting away from higher fidelity recordings these days in favor of the convenience of MP3/MP4. I'm old school, I still listen to a record from start to finish and enjoy leafing through liner notes. I'll be put out to pasture soon enough...

It's actually pronounced Co-burn. When I was younger I remember my friends and I would sometimes say the name as it's written though . -
Albums that work best when listened to start to finish
GtrPlyr replied to Moss's topic in Someone Else's Song
Absolutely! Pretty much all my listening involves listening to the whole record/CD. Growing up in an era of LPs and cassettes, where we tended to slap it on and only touch it when it had to be flipped probably shaped my listening habits somewhat . -
Good to see Iowa is catching up to us folks in Ontario .

??? This is the record that was supposed to be released before Sign 'o the Times. It got shelved but many songs ended up on Sign 'o the Times. Probably one of the better Prince bootlegs out there. NP:
