  1. Just found these photos on the Catillion Web page http://www.thecotillion.com/gallery/catid,43/
  2. After this review i can't wait until my copy arrives this week. I have yet to hear it in it's entirety because i have only been buying vinyl the past year. Although i have heard a few tracks on XM. At any rate "29" is one of my favorite Adams releases, so if Easy Tiger is that bad then i'm hoping it's that good. I have not been disappointed in the tracks i have heard but i'll wait for my final judgment after i give it it's due spins.
  3. Neutral Milk Hotel. If your favorite Wilco is YHF, do your self a favor and pick up their release "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea" They are no longer a active band yet they are on M.Ward's and Arcade Fires Merge roster.
  4. Besides that link i still can't find any info on a special "Blue" edition of this recored. Also the seller ended the auction early because of a listing error. I wonder if it was because he listed it as a "limited edition blue vinyl"? If you can dig up any more info "ithugsback" it would be appreciated. The thing should have been released in blue vinyl anyway IMO.
  5. your post is the first i have heard of it and a web search turns up nothing. so unless you can provide some type of link, who knows if it's true?
  6. don't you just love when innocent topics in band forum discussions turn x-rated?...just in time for the weekend no less!
  7. what's with that? sex and coffee are a great match... it improves stamina. Just remember to brush your teeth.
  8. Why not major corporate coffee shops? They seem to have the same agenda as clear-channel radio when it comes to evaluating american consumers taste. Personally i support neither! I kinda like to make my own cappuccino in the morning while spinning vinyl before i go to work.
  9. First reviews comparing SBS to a the best recored the Eagles never released and now a Starbucks display?!?!... Hurt the band's pocket book no, hurt our future live concert experience, yes! I hate arena concerts!
  10. I actually played side three this morning at 45 speed and it sounded like Jay Bennett was singing lead. I'll try spinning it backward at 45 and see what happens. Maybe it will sound like Jay Farrar makes a appearance.
  11. That interview must have come just after the spin cover shoot. Jeff has on the same cloths and the same porta-potty jeff is waiting in line for can be seen during the video interview. Also some of the Q&A is the same. I love how Jeff answers the interviewer when he brags how he saw Beck do a quiet "Sea Change" set at a festival and enjoyed it, after Jeff explained his thoughts on Festival set list for Wilco.
  12. So i finally got my copy yesterday via "musicnextweek" and gave it a thorough listen last night; 3 times. Forward starting with side one then backward starting with side four and as a night cap back starting again with side one. When i get a new LP I like to compare sides of the records choosing the strongest album side of the collection. On first listen here is my choice... Side three; or disc two side one, is off the charts for me. PBPWM,HIH and LM; neither of which song may be the strongest single track on the LP, but that trifecta of songs are a perfect fit for one another. If i o
  13. If i was going to see Arcade Fire this weekend i too would not have a care in the world. The Funeral and Neon Bible have been getting me through this week. Although last night i stayed up late and spun AGIB in it's entirety... yes i did listen to the 18 min of drone that is the hidden beauty of "Less Than You Think" for the first time. I did so to try and sooth my disappointment of not having SBS yet. The drone sure sounds better late night on a turntable than i ever remember it sounding before.
  14. OK the mail man came and went today with out the goods... i just got off the phone with musicnextweek and they said if it's not here tomorrow it's probably lost in the mail and to call and they will ship another copy via UPS so they can track it. I personally think they are full of shit and probably did not actually drop the bulk of the shipment until Tuesday to those of us that did not pay extra for the express mail. I suggest everyone that has not gotten their copy yet call and bitch! If it accomplishes nothing else it did make me feel better. Just have your order # and call 877/687-4277
  15. The LP is back up on Musictoday so if your not in a rush for it you can get it there. If the preorder delay fiasco is any indication of their customer service you may have it in time for Christmas.
  16. I choose Musictoday... I have enough to be pissed off at government entities the past few years.
  17. I'm sure it was posted on Friday but probably not dropped for pick up then. With the postage rates that went up Monday they would have been stupid not to have at least put the post on the packages. I mean the $11.55 they charged me for shipping when it only probably cost them $4.05 in actual post? look at the profit they would have missed out on if they didn't.
  18. I'm still waiting for my copy and my mail man just came today without it in tow... I bitched way back whenever the pre-ordering started after i saw the shipping charges music today was charging so i opted for US mail. I even got notice last Friday it was shipped priority. I guess i should have spent the extra $$ to have it arrive on Tuesday. I'm probably the last Wilco fan on earth who has not heard one single studio track! i have been abstaining from the web feeds because i wanted to hear them first on my table. At least i got somewhat of a fix last night with Letterman.
  19. I have mine on the way via the pre order, but this afternoon i was speaking with a friend who had not ordered her copy yet tried to order via music today and could not find it listed. After a direct call to music today i was informed they have sold out. I then called my local favorite Dallas indy store and there are still a few copies available. I find it strange it's not in stock directly through Wilco's site linked to music direct on the release date. Does any one know if SBS has a limited pressing and if so what's the number? curious minds want to know...
  20. With that said... if the only tracks you have heard from those artist; especially Zevon and Browne, are from the radio than you don't know what your missing. And for a little more Eagles content this thread needs, the best song IMO the Eagles ever did was a song Jackson Browne penned.
  21. Come on now analogman... don't make this thread too silly!
  22. I didn't "bag" on any of their catalog. I was bagging on the fans of the band that continue to support the obvious disregard for art and imagination as well as affordability a live show should offer it's fans. The Eagles were the first band i paid double digit prices for back in 1980's "Long Run" tour. I remember the show seemed scripted and the music was played exactly like it was on the album's. It was the last support they got from me. Wilco can have some Eagles influence in their music for all i care. But if they start pulling the greed and lazy act when it comes to touring, then
  23. All we need is some Eagle's fans to read that review and start attending live Wilco shows. Once that happens we will have to start paying triple digits for tickets for shows with set list of the imagination of a clear channel executive.
  24. My favorite quote of the piece... What was that quote about great art?
