  3. At the Wichita gig there was a half ass pat down by security at the door, this of course seems to be just something security does to cover their asses in the event of a tragedy that may happen. It's probably done on the advise of some attorney. During the pat down security was asking if anyone had any pocket knives or weapons. I happened to have a knife in my taper bag that was searched but they did not find. I use it to cut straps off the mic stand for those of you wondering why i would have a knife. If someone really wanted to do harm to any band member or any person exposed to large groups
  4. i have been attending rock shows for over 25 years and never have i been aware that jumping on stage was allowed, although i have seen it rarely. Unless it was a naked good looking woman. (this was the first time i saw it happened at a ZZ top show back in the "Deguello" tour. They let her dance from one end of the stage to the other but she never touched any of the band) Any other time i saw it happened the intruder were guys who were tackled violently by stage security and removed from the stage and i assume arrested. If this dumb ass who jumped on stage at the Springfield gig or anyone

  13. Anyone want a sneak unedited peek of the Portland gig? i have two copy's ready to ship for anyone willing to share it here on Via Chicago. I would like to trade for some other Wilco related DVD's. If you want to send me a pm with a list of your DVD collection i'll choose one. Please re-reoffer this back to the board if chosen to trade. I just got this two days ago from a fellow taper i met at the Crystal Ballroom that evening. It's his audio with balcony shot video. 15. goofy comment?!?! re- read the shit you just wrote? That's a goofy comment. Check back in 20 years when Dylan and Young are gone.
  16. I'm up on the 22nd in Denton, Tx and I am damn near as excited to see him as i am to se Wilco when they Play Ft.Woth in Oct., especially after reading that outstanding review by Solace. I agree 100% about his guitar playing ability, it is very good. I also thought it interesting Solace compared him with the Neil Young slouch guitar posture. I see a bit more Tweedy posture when he's on the acoustic then Neil but IMO he needs to be mentioned more often in any sense when it comes to Young or Dylan. In 20 years i believe Tweedy and Ward will be regarded as the new Young and Dylan.
  17. It will only impress the coeds that much more
  18. Your worried over nothing. i'm not planning on asking permission to bring in my DAT. smuggle the bitch if your concerned. It adds to the excitement of the doors opening.
  19. i would kinda like a 45 min solo Tweedy set to warm us up in Fort Worth and Wichita.
  20. I faired much better during the public sale this morning for the Ft.Worth gig. LC orch row D! That should be right in front of Nels. As well as 4 in the first row of the center Balcony. I have a bunch of friends that will be turned on to Wilco in October! :-)
