it's up now, i just watched it and it's filmed beautifully!

Forget the rereleases! How about the band releasing Kicking Television on vinyl? I love live recordings played on vinyl!
-
Summerteeth sounds great on my tube system, and i only forked over $130 for it three years ago. Much better investment then Wall Street's produced in the same time frame. Vinyl as a media is only as good as the hardware it's played on!

Austin>Tulsa>Houston!? some one in Bruce's camp needs to get a map! -
What? What? What? please don't shoot me Jules...

hey if you have TEVO it's only sacrificing about 20 minutes of your life and you may get a smile out of your face.

you mean Jim, Right? To me it's as good as it's always been. One of my favorite characters on the show is the one that you never see. The camera guy. I love when he ducks behind stuff when caught filming a private moment.

the most shocking stat i have heard from the day... Over 2 million people on the mall today and not one arrest!
-
my bad... another case of internet communication breakdown.

Never said i had a problem with it. Read the thread before attacking. It was my attempt at cracking wise about GW being creative enough to make a statement with fashion. Why would any Bush give a shit about the spirit of cooperation. Now the spirit of "CORPORATION" i can see.
-
If so, he was politicly buried 16 years ago!
-
Not to kick a dead horse that has already been buried, but your giving GW to much creative credit.

God i hope this is the case. I love music as the next guy but i would hope with the state of this country, as well as a great portion of the rest of the world. pop culture should be the last thing on Obama's mind. Help fix the shit first and then entertain yourself!

Wilco. Had Jay Bennett not left the band

i don't remember ever seeing Dylan on piano live. Although i did see him play keys at the Back Yard in Austin during Love and Theft tour. -

yea he does, and you can add the guitjo as well to Neil's arsenal of instruments he plays solo live. I would really like to hear what Jeff could do with his song writing as well as live solo performances if he played more piano. Does anyone know if Jeff only writes songs from the guitar? I'm intrigued because of a Springsteen documentary is saw. It came with the anniversary box of Born To Run, where Bruce talks about how his songs evolve when writing them on piano as opposed to guitar. -

i don't see where jay has had success as a solo artist or collaborating with others post Wilco. Give me some examples please, i would be happy to check out some of his more successful adventures. -

I agree about Jeff's guitar work during this era of the band. But now with the influence, as well as tutoring that Nels has given Jeff the past few years. IMO Jeff is now a better player then Jay was at that time. Jeff seems to be a quick study when it comes to guitar. Now if we can just get him to learn piano, or at least learn it well enough to play it before a live audience. It would really add another dimension to his solo gigs. Not to mention what it might do for his song writing style. Lets face it, Jay was a average talent. Otherwise why would he not be more successful this -

After reading that Q&A Jay didn't do himself any favors trying to get me to believe anything different than how the Wilco film portrayed him. He just comes across as someone who tries to hard to be cool. -
here it is on ebay for 8 bucks and some change with shipping. Good book BTW http://tinyurl.com/8oehmb

A pretty voice is a dime a dozen no matter gained either by natural ability or professional training. Someone that can write a song that touches me and sing it in a way were i believe it is unique. And that is what i look for in a musical artist's vocal ability. For some reason with me, the better the voice the less i believe the words. Figure that one out. -
Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, and i love their audio taping policy. But if they would extend that same policy to video it might ease some of the pressure the band might feel for DVD releases.
