  1. so does this mean no yoga?! I'm sure it would do us all a bit of good after the saturday Solid Sound night.
  2. i can deal with scattered T-storms. And after two weeks of brutal heat where i live, a good soaker might not be to bad as long as it doesn't interfere with my recording. Speaking of taping, is anyone else on this board planing on running a wire for this event other than me?
  3. i would spin SBS for comfort. sorry for your troubles.
  4. North Adams extended forcast! http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/USMA0282 so long brutal Texas heat!
  5. As far as i can tell Wilco is the promoter... Being a "Wilco festival", with band members featured for a number of sets. Along with the obscure artist on the bill, as well as the venue they are playing, I'm sure the production of this event is not costing the band much in overhead. It's not going to take a lot in ticket sales and merch sales to turn a profit. I do hope the band turns a profit, but as someone who is going. i was not expecting the normal festival bull shit, i.e.: thousands of rude, obnoxious, uncomfortable people crammed into a dusty field. I had hoped for a more intim
  6. was it the vinyl that was just released, that's my format of choice and what i have? I thought it was just released on July 13?
  7. Danger Mouse and Sparkelhorse "Dark Night Of The Soul" is very impressive. I haven't been this excited about a new release on first listen sense YHF.
  8. he wasn't working the Dallas gig a few weeks ago.
  9. My wife and myself will be coming in from Mineral Wells, Tx (just west of Ft. Worth) staying at the house on main in Williamstown.
  10. i would bet on the band not getting a dime from the shipping of that poster, and they probably broke even on the sale of it. As for the $15 shipping on the ticket to south bend... will call is usually free, not sure why you chose to pay for express shipping with a show a month off?
  11. drat! i have to leave Sunday as my wife has her first day of teacher in service for the new school year that starts on monday and i live over a 1000 miles away from Northern Ma. Sundays line up should be Saturday and Saturdays should be Friday!
  12. I enjoy all my Wilco shirts!!! if for no other reason to support that 9 year old Chinese girl that sewed it for $10 a week.
  13. I think it would be nice if the band had a autograph session set up for this event. I have a few posters that need some ink...
  14. i wonder throughout the history of the game; before TV, how many perfect games or no hitters were either compromised or saved because of a umpire error? if replay is ever used to overturn calls of this nature, a big fat asterisk needs to be added.
  15. i have never seen anything but a Saturday night Wilco show announced. Most of their shows are two sets anyway. The opening set and the encores. When you play three hours, thats two sets. Even if you only break for a short time. I can't believe anyone will NOT get their fix of wilco over that weekend.
  16. if Wilco continues to play a festival events like this in the future here is one venue i would love to see them play. http://www.djartranch.com/Home.html not only because it's down road from where i live but the energy there is fantastic!
  17. I just pulled the trigger! We can't stay all day Sunday. on Monday my wife has her first day of teacher in service before the school year starts and Texas is a long way from North Adams! I can't think of a better way to end the summer of 2010!
  18. i love DTV 101! Trailer park Boys and now Wilco! Saw a episode the other day where Ricky Kidnapped Alex Lifeson... some funny stuff.
  19. i don't have the rights to what it means. i'm just stating facts! I had always wanted to ask Tweedy about it in the few times i have met him after gigs, but the mixture of brew, weed and excitement of meeting him it always slipped my mind.
  20. Coming back from Florida right after YHF was released i stopped for lunch at a seafood joint going into Mobil AL. In the bathroom they had displayed all the nautical flags and their meaning. Yankee- Dragging anchor Hotel - Captain on Board Foxtrot - In distress I always thought it a perfect title, if in fact Tweedy used it as code for the making of the record and the state of Wilco at the time. http://www.marinewaypoints.com/learn/flags/flags.shtml
  21. maybe a bit of dust in the grove? give it a good cleaning and try it again.
  22. 20X12 and its on pulleys so i can raise or lower it like a sail. With three small kids it's the perfect alternative to the Drive in theater. All the wilco dvd's have graced it's canvas. BTW we allow talking during the screenings. http://backyardtheater.com/
  23. just a thought... maybe it's the store employee/owner that gets the few copies of the really rare releases and then sets the market price?
