  1. i still have "One Sunday Morning Streaming" from wilco world. i never closed my browser from this mornings listen. When i type in the address of the stream on another browser there is this hand scrawled message. http://wilcoworld.net/twlsplash/
  2. something tells me Art of Almost might be a pretty good choice to open the live shows up with this tour...
  3. i saw them at SS this year. They were more art then bottle openers. But i figured they would fire sale them on line in December for inventory tax reasons, so i didn't pull the $40 trigger.
  4. Number one for me would have to be Judas Priest 1980 British Steel tour. Rob Halford could be heard reaving his Harley back stage as the house lights went down before riding it out to center stage. Getting off, cracking his whip, all the while the band tearing up Hell Bent For Leather. Sheer ecstasy for a rebellious 16 year old!
  5. It's just the Marcellus shale shifting... big oil and gas CEO's will tell you to ignore it!
  6. here is what the email in part read that i got from kung fu last week: We're writing you regarding a few updates to The Whole Love Pre-OrderStore that might impact your order. We are offering media mail shipping for $5 to customers within theUnited States who ordered the vinyl LP by itself (transit time of 7 to10 business days once the order ships). Unfortunately, this meth
  7. they also dropped shipping to 5 bucks for the LP in the U.S.
  8. They took my money right away via paypal.
  9. i'm not clear on why it's $17 or $25 shipping for you guys, when i only paid $13 for ups ground shipping all my stuff. Three yo yo's, a lady's tee, and the whole bundle. If i buy 137 bucks worth of stuff in a physical store here in Texas i pay $11.30 in tax. The way i look at it is, shipping is only a buck seventy. What are you guys paying for, over night shipping?
  10. What makes you think it's full of photos or trivial band info? I would like to think it's a recipe book on how to achieve whole love and live a peaceful, meaningful existence.
  11. This is what i did with one of my totes. The others have gone to my daughter as a school bag.
  12. How can it be sold as a bundle if it doesn't include the damn yo yo? It is nice that they are including the clear Solid Sound edition 7" though. Those are going for 40 bucks on ebay!
  13. i read where it was also supposed to make the listener make a effort while playing the track to hit the track up button when they have had enough.
  14. Tom Waits had the best anti-scalping policy i have ever seen. The only complaint i have is i like to collect ticket stubs. I still have the first one from from my first show. AC/DC Sept. 21 1979. no need for scalpers before the internet. if you really wanted a ticket in those days for a high profile show, you just spent the night in line at your local record store the night before they went on sale. For that AC/DC show i just walked up to the box office the day of the gig paid my 8 bucks and saw the show. here is how Waits handled scalpers for the Glitter and Doom tour: “In keeping w
  15. Rumor has it Wilco has no black guys, or girls for that matter, as fans!
  16. i agree. The amazing thing about that set design was the multidimensional visuals it offered. i watched from different angles that night, and with the lighting all the angles gave a different and unique image of the stage and depth of the stage. I watched the front of the sound board. I'm sure the closer to the stage the less dramatic effect it had. It looked like it took a long time to construct all the different strands of ghosts. I hope they keep it around for the next tour.
  17. The first time i heard Wilco was the first time i saw them live at the Gypsy Tea room Dallas August 14 1999. I was new to taping and was just looking for some live music to practice. They blew me a way and I went out and purchased their back catalogue soon after.
  18. Epic shot! It captures everything i love about Nels live performances but the sound!
  19. Another one of my favorite things about Solid Sound is the lack of advertising and sponsorship in and around MassMoca. A rarity in this day in age of commercialism. Especially in the festival environment. There was zero! Good for you Wilco! "Sponsored by nobody!"
  20. You have a prediction on the World Series winner? I could use some extra cash for Christmas. currant odds: Philadelphia Phillies 3/1 Boston Red Sox 7/2 New York Yankees 7/1 Milwaukee Brewers 12/1 Detroit Tigers 15/1 San Francisco Giants 15/1 Texas Rangers 15/1 Atlanta Braves 20/1 St. Louis Cardinals 22/1 Cincinnati Reds 25/1 Tampa Bay Rays 28/1 Chicago White Sox 30/1 Colorado Rockies 30/1 Arizona Diamondbacks 35/1 Cleveland Indians 35/1 Los Angeles Angels 35/1 Seattle Mariners 45/1 Oakl
  21. i did have Shot in the arm listed on the 25th. It was just a duplicate on the graph. so barring any more errors they played 62 songs not 63 in the three set history.
