all i can say is the sound of live Wilco on warm vinyl makes a rainy Texas day sunny! This is a very good pressing and much different "sonic shoulder" then the cd. Thanks Wilco!

mines only 20'! i can't imagine what a 98' screen looks like...

probably one disc...the times of the tunes are not listed on the disc or the notes so until i spin it i can't be sure if it will be less then 80 min. pretty sure each track will not average 10 min though.

mine was shipped the same way... when i opened it i was instantly reminded of AGIB. The box set was sanwitched between two large egg crates with bubble wrap between the crates and the box. No way your KT set could get damaged short of it falling off the back of the ups truck on Interstate 35 and getting run over! i should note i was reminded of AGIB because of the egg crates...

I just got off the phone with Kung Foo and talked to a very informative rep for them. She said orders are being shipped today and there will not be a cd copy included in the box set, or a sticker. But the stickers will be shipped at a later dated because of production issues with the stickers. We also figured sense i got my copy today i must not have order it through Kung Foos web page. looking at my packing slip she was right i ordered directly through Nunesuch. sooo unless the recored stores are throwing in a copy of the cd, the digital download is all you will be getting in digital for

looking back at the wilco store it doesn't say anything about a cd being included... Box Set Contents - 4 wax discs (8 previously unreleased bonus tracks) - A foldout commemorative poster - A free 7 x 3.5 vinyl sticker featuring skyline logo (exclusive to the Wilco store) all i got the was the 4 disc the poster and the booklet but not the sticker. I too thought i saw a cd was to be included when i ordered. does anyone have the link that said it was to be included handy?

that doesn't make much sense. mine was sealed as i'm sure the record store releases will be too. unless the record stores just throw in a copy of the cd. I would think getting it directly from the bands label all the perks would be included...

no cd that i can find... Usually it's in with the vinyl packaging with other releases wilco has offered cd's with the vinyl. i guess i'll wait to see if others got one before i call.

my copy landed early this morning at my office from Nonesuch. First impressions of packaging and B&W photos are just what i expected form this band... OUTFUCKENSTANDING!!! I can't wait to spin this tonight! I will not go into detail on the photos so i don't spoil everyones delivery.

Personally, I have not purchased; for myself, any digital music in the past 7 years. I have received it as gifts and given it as gifts. But if it has not been available on vinyl i have chosen to not buy it for myself. IMO if it's not worth the effort or the expense for the band to release it on wax it probably was not worth hearing. That said, I'm sure i have cheated myself out of some good music. But then again most artist i enjoy make the effort. Side note, i do have KT cd in my collection but it was a gift. By the definition, I'm not really sure how you can consider vinyl a fad. "an intense and widely shared enthusiasm for something, esp. one that is short-lived and without basis in the object's qualities" Vinyl has been around longer then any listening media and has plenty of basis in the quality.

with the price point I'm thinking it might take a year to sell all the copies. Beck's information LP package which is priced similarly took about a year to sell out and now sells for double on ebay. Maybe a decade for KT doubling in value was a bit of a stretch. I should never under estimate the loyalty of the Wilco fan base. I got my copy of KT on pre order. I probably won't spin it much, but i had to keep the integrity of my complete Wilco vinyl collection intact.

in ten years first pressings of this release will be selling for $150 on ebay.

Solo show- M. Ward at the Dallas museum of art in March. Duet- Flight of the Concords at Grand Prairie Nokia theater. i agree. It seems if you add abstract tendencies to music it makes it less commercial and more artistic. Without it, it's just another radio friendly pop recored. Indy fans seem to like their music more if the masses don't.
