When they come to New Zealand one of the shows is is at a 'bluesfest' with people like Buddy Guy, Keb Mo etc... Do you think they would tailor their set for the occasion? I wasn't planing on going to this one (got tix for the Auckland gig tho) but I think It would be cool to here them play up that aspect of the band. What do you think they would play if they did?

Yeah what ever they recorded at Sear Sound would have been to tape. I doubt they even have Pro Tools. Not that sort of studio. Pro Tools for the most part isn't a sound creating tool. So the songs wouldn't have been "created' in Pro Tools more just arranged and edited (probably at the Loft I'd guess). Then done proper at Soma and Sear Sound

A Telecaster with humbuckers just seems weird to me. Fine guitars no doubt but surely the point of a Tele is the trebly bridge pick up?

Instead of buying a Swart Atomic Space Tone you could just buy a Fender champ. Same circuit but a lot cheaper!

About the Vox head/ cab/ combo thing, isn't it likely the head goes into the combos speakers and he uses a foot switch to select between combo amp and the head amp?

A couple of thoughts; The sound of your band mates will play a big part in the sound you yourself should go for. To be honest I think youll just have to spend the time together playing! -The ac15 shouldn't make things bass heavy so don't worry about that. -What gear do the others have? The drummers cymbals will affect your high frequencies and of course the bass will affect your low end. It's usually 3 to 400hz that makes things muddy. All of these have got to fit around the singer, because hey you can change your amp, but they can't change vocal cords! -If you practice in a smallish space t
