A bunch of random stuff from my iTunes
Scott Gyrrr replied to PopTodd's topic in Someone Else's Song
Good mix of sex wit angst and humor. Only track I don't like is the Husker Du one. Just never liked that band. Left me curious about the Linus of Hollywood album and Roy Wood will have ta look into them some more... -
Well some ave said Summerteeth on cd is a little loud for their liking so a vinyl version may be mastered to make it more dynamic.

Relax. It was probably just the steroids talking.

I would love both a concert style film and a doco type film. Surely this would be possible with both red ray and blue ray. But seriously Disc one doco, disc two concert. Easy. I don't want some five track bonus disc though.

Didn't Jeff say something about the album having tricky time changes on it? I think that guy was joking about the album being trip hop because Tricky is a 'trip hop'(genre no longer in use) artist.

Hey Todd I would be keen to hear this mix! Was there any particular thread linking these tracks together? I've not heard Falstaff Kirsty MacColl Linus Of Hollywood Os Mutantes Pat Peterman The Webb Brothers but like much all the track I have heard so yeah. -
Where are the poor poor Rollings Stones? They made a movie and everything.

I like how the vinyl cuts the album up into three song sets. I usually listen to one side over and over for a bit before getting dizzy. Then I get up out of the beanbag and go to the kitchen and have some potato chips. And coke. It's muggy. So so muggy.

They used to have one in the band. Obvious joke over I'd go for it. Sounds like a lot of fun. -
What bridge is that? Is it a bridge?

What are you talking about? Back when YHF came out the dude was sculling back the fish tanks.

You've been humming in a haze forever praying for pavement to get back together -
Is it; We may as well be made of stone We can't be flown. rather than; We may as well be made of stone We can't be phoned. as ive seen posted before? would make more sense. Also on a related note. The line in Wilco The Song Colbert...Colbert...Colbert will love you baby shall simply be changed to... Cold beer...cold beer...cold beer we love you baby

This whole crisis could have been averted if you were smart, like me, and purchased multiple copies of all of their music in different formats.

Thats awesome. I listen to music on various different systems and I find that what I'm listening on realy dictates what I want to hear Generally less dense music seems to work best on lower fidelity systems and more dynamic/complex stuff on hi fi. I can't listen to old Jazz on anything to revealing cause I find it too distracting, all that hiss. Elvis=Phillips sound machine ghettoblaster (has a USB input!) Evangelicals=Good headphones Short reviews of headphones I have owned ; Beyer Dynamic DT770-Sounds good but need a good amp to drive them. Sennhieser hd25-Sometimes I put thes

Elroy Finn played drums on At Least Thats What You Said night three. There was twin drum kit action on many songs(opener Distant Sun with Phil Selway and I think Glenn(Elroy has a similar mop so it was a bit hard to tell at times)) Funny moment when Bic Runga said something like" How lucky am I, just got back from recording my new album in Nashville and now I get to play one of the songs from it with one of my all time favorite bands Wilco. This is... ...oh my god I've totally forgotten your name! (to John Stirrat ) Poor Woman nearly died of embarrassment! I really liked the song P

Probably safer if I steer clear. I just worry about those pasty English lads from Radiohead getting hellishly sunburnt. We have a serious ozone depletion problem down here. In fact I can't recall the last time I saw any. As far as real reporters go I was hoping someone was going to be interviewed by Kim Hill of radio New Zealand but I think she is on holiday as is Troy Ferguson from The Rock & Roll Wire. I don't know about clever. I was trying to download Glad It's Over from another thread/link and ended up there.

You gotta admit this guy looks more than a little like him
