I suppose everyone already got the email but... Wilco mail: Greetings everyone, Well, we made it. Wilco's The Whole Love is officially out and available in the U.S., Canada, Europe & U.K., Australia, NZ and beyond. Soon we'll be popping a cork here at HQ because that alone feels like a hell of an accomplishment. That celebratory feeling brings with it a moment of introspection, because really, what would accomplishment be without it? We were talking this morning and thinking back a few years to the first discussions of starting our own label. It took a while for circumstances to line u

listen out for the vocal prompts in Black Moon. They come very quietly out of the left channel. You may have to jump over to the passenger side for that.

How does it feel to be the tenor of the board?

A guy once told me about how he would cut tracks though songs he didn't like to make them skip over that song. I think he said he used a soldering iron. -
I downloaded from itunes. It included the digital booklet with lyrics, credits and photos. All I need now are some karaoke versions and I'm all set.

I'm surprised by how many reviews are coming in. I generally don't read reviews and I haven't read any of the ones posted here but it seems like there is a hell of a lot media writing about Wilco. I've always found it hard to gauge how big Wilco is around the world. Does this seem like the normal level for a Wilco release or are they reaching a wider audience this time around?

I guess their saxophones aren't the fucking kind.

You don't like to read? Cool.

John also plays Piano on I Might I see from the credits.

Is the Eliot Eston SG something Jeff plays a lot live? Thats a purty guitar. Also I think Glenn is usually on the acrylic set instead of the tigerstripe Delites. I hear a kind of African influence to the first half rhythm maybe that's why. Whatever the case couldn't be more true Lotti.

Hope you got the bad help you needed.

Do any of the reviews or interviews give insight into the name of the album? I guess I could read them but you know... Also which Bob Dylan song does I Might most sound like? I heard this one on the radio a month baago that was the same sort of tempo and keyboard sound. Hadn't heard it before. Sound like it might have been from the seventies.

yup haha Serves them right. Didn't they know about this bands reputation for doing things their own way?! Also I was wrong about not being able to play music with the digital booklet open. It's just a separate thing from your normal itunes playlist.

Got any good blues records lately?
Scott Gyrrr replied to Scott Gyrrr's topic in Someone Else's Song
I have no drop outs on my Candy Man froggie lotta hiss though. Boogie At Russian Hill - you need to hear Albert Collins and John lee Hooker really burn it up on this track. -
New Zealand. The digital booklet thing is different to ones I've seen before. Kind of like a website? or something. Unfortunately you can't play music while looking at it. Nice artwork Joanne Greenbaum.

I have some taj mahal but not that one. Off topic; I just watched the An Idiot Abroad episode where Karl Pilkington visited the Taj Mahal. So funny. I once learned most of Hesitations blues. Sounded so lame. Gimme ten years of 'hard livin' and I might try it again. Thanks I'll check out those other records too. -
I haven't heard any great albums for a while. Anything catch your ears whether straight up blues or blues influenced stuff? Last one I loved was John lee hookers Boom boom from the mid nineties ( I think)

What art/ artists are you in to?
Scott Gyrrr replied to Scott Gyrrr's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Charles Frederick Goldie, OBE (1870–1947) was a well-known New Zealand artist, famous for his portrayal of MÄori dignitaries. -
Fairly broad subject I know but tell me about an artist you dig. Betriz Milhazes is a Brazilian artist. I like her the vibrant energy and femininity of her art. http://en.wikipedia....eatriz_Milhazes
