Woke up feeling like 12 sacks of shit today; my wife was sick all weekend. Yay flu! I made Patti a nice big ol' pot of chicken soup over the weekend, but there is no more and I ain't got the strength to do it at the moment... anybody have any ideas for homespun remedies? Any medications work better than others? I took TheraFlu this morning and am drinking tea w/honey & lemon @ the moment

The FrOnkster is happily married with a big-ass mortgage on Staten Island, working many overtime hours as a chemist in the seedy bowels of industrial New Jersey... he hates the fact that he can't get onto VC from work anymore, and his home hours are nearly completely taken up. The man makes me laugh harder than anyone I know, and I love him dearly. I'll be seeing him in a couple of weeks and I'll tell him y'all say howdy. I really hope the Marlins get that new ballpark, 2 world championships in 15 years of existence, the franchise surely deserves it. The retractable dome seems a necessary addition.

Plenty, plenty, plenty! All gems, the whole doggone lot of them. And far too many who don't come 'round here as often as they used to (AJarWithAHeavyLid, Shiney McShine, HeartfulOfHoles, JimTweedy1977...) all missed. VC was the first message board I ever joined, and I think I hit the lotto. Never knew that folks you could "meet" online because of a great band could end up being some of the best friends you ever had.

I'm a Steelers fan, so it's not really about the game or the result for me... It's about the CLOWN, man! I felt bad for that kid! Clowns scare me, too... especially those black velvet paintings of sad clowns. Even Bozo.

That would've been a lot of fun to be part of.

I think, because Radiohead is no longer with EMI, that EMI is releasing a greatest hits package to coincide with the tour, and perhaps hop onto the cash cow for all they can one final time (until the next greatest hits package is released 15 years down the line).
