  1. Another thread where LouieB is "keepin' it real." On another note, I'm contemplating signing all my posts CtK because I feel as if people are confused.
  2. Awesome news. I, too, am a fan of the Veracruz EP (produced by Niko Bolas adding another layer to the Neil Young connection). Gillian Welch sings on "Tennessee Rose" on the previously-mentioned Veracruz.
  3. I too enjoyed the Isbell-era of DBT immensely. I'm only a few listens into the new one, but I do think it is a step up from the last release (which I never have the urge to listen to anymore).
  4. Up through Physical Graffiti, this is valid claim. After that... not so much.
  5. Other than Sad Songs For Dirty Lovers, I absolutely love every album The National has released.
  6. "Where's Eddie" is another great Hinton cover too. While not technically her song, it's my favorite song of her's on lead vocals.
  7. I do like GGB, I'm somewhat lukewarm on TBTD. I think the band would have been better served releasing it as one album and saving the rest for their big Archives release in 2029.
  8. That's one way of looking at it.
  9. Those are great songs, as are "Riding With the Ghost" and "John Henry." I think that record is damn near perfect.
  10. You can't get through this? On the Jason Molina front, I think the collaboration of Molina and Will Johnson is far better in theory than it was on:
  11. Just recently came on my radar. Recently picked up: Wow! Fantastic stuff.
  12. There are some very good albums on that list.
