Lots of great new songs! This one right now kicks ass ... what is it? answer: Transit Lounge

Yeah, I agree there has been a lot of confusion. I came in 10 minutes late, so what I heard before Pineapple Head were 2 new ones. One I know I've heard before, maybe Clouds sent me that?

Here's something from a Mac user in Indy:

What a cool thing to do for your kids' school! Kudos to both of you for making it happen. I'll definitely be there.

Judy have a great one! And wasn't that a nice little present Neil Young delivered just in time for your birthday viewing pleasure, eh?

Hi everybody! It's sad when these threads go to sleep, so thanks for waking it up again! Oh, these are great pix, Donna. Thanks so much for posting them. I love the one of Erin bounding up the stairs at Edie's! That's so like her! The weekend just went by so quickly that it felt great to relive them through your photos. It was such a beautiful event -- kudos to every single one of you for making it so memorable. Had to laugh to myself just now - remembering me driving with Donna as navigator from Edie's party out to Morgan's house in the burbs. We were talking so fast and furi

You have to click on each one ... worth it!

This is very cool that they're doing multiple small shows. And Chicago's Abbey is not so big, even though 3 nights. They are Thu, Fri, and Sat nights, so ... fun weekend for Dino Jr fans.

wow, two recent celebrity suicides ... him and Richard Jeni, the comedian.

I fell asleep at an Autumn Defense show when they opened for Tweedy solo. But I was already sleep deprived, and drove for 5 hours in horrible HORRIBLE rain and we were rushed and hassled, and I was terribly fatigued. So once I sat down in my reserved 3rd row seat, I was so relieved to just BE there, and I started to relax, and then their lovely mellowness just lulled me into slumber.

OK, I originally came in here because I had my own 2-cents to add about "The Search." I just listened to the first half and I really really like it. I have to admit to not owning Trace, having never been a Son Volt fan, but I did enjoy most of Okemah last year, and SV live was completely amazing (but much too loud!). So I'm totally looking forward to the show with Jason Isbell coming up. Me and my earplugs, that is.

Badly Drawn Boy in Chicago Saturday night ... ... he told some very nice touching and poignant stories in between songs and tried really hard to entertain us, even going so far as to hug this one highly annoying loud drunk guy in the audience. Only two disappointments - 1) is that his latest release was pretty weak IMO, and he played quite a few off it. 2) Curfew (all ages show) made him cut off at least 4 or 5 songs from the setlist. But "Silent Sigh" was gorgeous -- it always makes me happy!

I wish the Via Chicago Archives was back up, so I could find and post a link to this SAME EXACT ARGUMENT with Essox500 which occurred last year, to save you all from wasting any more time arguing with "ORKIE"

Well, then -- I'm glad I didnt miss much.
-
I was sorry I had to miss this show. Did anyone other than Jon Brion show up on stage?

Thanks, TNWA -- you're very generous to allow us fans to have all kinds of listening opportunities. But I'm going to wait until I have your pretty self in my hands before I take full advantage of you.

I love Squeeze! They should have signed up for the Crowded House reunion, that would have been an insanely fun show, except I would have wanted both bands to play for 2+ hours at least, and that isn't likely, so maybe it is better that I could have two shows to look forward to.

I haven't listened to the advance versions of these songs, it got too complicated how it all leaked in spurts, so I just didn't bother with any of it until I picked it up this weekend in Chicago at Reckless. Popped it in the car CD player on the drive home in the wee dark hours of Sunday morning, and ... ... stunning! Had to play it twice through. Wow! I can't wait for the show in May. And I agree "My Body is a Cage" is stellar.
