  1. Loved the blog entry ... Uyen I am so happy you and Evonne got to see David Rawlings in person at Largo with your hero, Jon. One more Largo show I wished I had witnessed. And Benmont again? And seeing David and Gillian with EC last week, too? Damn woman! You have seen some greatness! Thanks for the fantastic reviews.
  2. holy crap, kyle - for a camera that takes bad low light pictures, these are amazing! What camera do you use anyway?
  3. what cutie admins we have! I can say "have" because, Narz, you're not going away for good, right? Right! Narz, thanks again for all your hard work and dedication to building the VC community. It's a cool place to hang out.
  4. Calexico covered "I'm A Wheel" ???? I'd love to hear that. Great reviews ... thanks for the links
  5. Great review Seltz ... especially the Clapton show which sounds outstanding. Old Crow Medicine Show opened for Gillian Welch and David Rawlings a couple of years ago in NE Indiana, and it was stellar. David played with OCMS as they opened the show, but was introduced as "Bubba" or something misleading . But their show was really fun, cuz I love me some banjo and fiddle. You have some amazing shows coming up as well!
  6. Road trip! You could do the Friday Nov 3 show in Cleveland at the Beachland Tavern perhaps? Not a bad drive IMO. And the average driving speed between Toldeo and Cleveland on the Ohio Toll Road is 80 to 90.
  7. I don't know where you're camping, but today is a beautiful day in the midwest and so I hope you're under similar skies having a GREAT birthday!
  8. Jen and I will arrive at The Peanut Barrel at 6:30 (soonest we can get there) and hope to see everybody there. It's gonna be a beautiful day!
  9. I've never been on this campus before, so I have no idea if I'm heading in the right direction. Is this the MSU Auditorium where the show will be held? The map I found here says it is on the SE corner of Farm Lane and Auditorium Road. Is this it? If this is not the right place, can somebody help us find the right building? I am getting confused because the wilcoworld site says the show is at "MSU Concert Auditorium" and my Wilco presale MusicToday order receipt says it is at the "Wharton Center for Performing Arts" Thanks for any help you can give!
  10. The Kalamazoo Michigan show from a couple of years ago was unbelievable with pot smoking It doesn't bother me in the least, but, of course, that is the one show I decided to bring along my friend and his young teenage son, after I assured him I had never smelled pot at a Wilco show before.
  11. PG - you and CrossEyedStranger will be missed! But yeah ... good luck Tigers! We are 2nd row center
  12. From what I heard, it was some regular fans (and several new non-Ryan Adams community internet weirdos/trolls) poking just a little too much fun and becoming outright rude and intentionally provocative and saying things to Ryan Adams and about Ryan Adams that Ryan Adams got tired of hearing/reading, dissing his band and the members of the band. So *poof* goodbye message board. I don't blame him at all. Why should he put up with such lack of respect?
  13. Seats H 9 + 10 look pretty good to me.
  14. I am going to definitely be at the final show at Birdy's in Indy, and hopefully the Wexner Center in Columbus as well. I can't wait for the official release and the shows. What I have heard of the new tunes knocked me out.
  15. He's not called Pervert McMurderman for no reason.
  16. Yep, the Illinois show is for sale already too.
  17. Lovin the new tunes, Derek! And a new baby too? My you've been productive lately! Congrats on both counts! And hey - I think we might actually be making it to the party after all!
  18. Dang, A-man. I had not seen that. Thanks for digging up that link. Quite impressive.
  19. Kevin ... Of COURSE I've seen that video. You just had to set me up for that one, didn't you. It's the name of a song, it's the name of an album, but you were referring to the bad video. Thanks for clearing that up. Such a joker. It's soooo bad, so 80's, so hilarious. Egads. You could have done better than that, though. There's a certain photo of Lindsey and a strategically placed guitar and that's all I'm sayin' Yes, I bought it back in the olden days. Thanks for the offer though
  20. Here's a review of the benefit show, courtesy Mary at the John Vanderslice forum, in case anyone's interested in how it went. http://johnvanderslice.org/viewtopic.php?t=747
