  1. I really can't wait for this preview tonight. This song "Stars of Leo" sounded magnificent! Headset is in place and ready to listen. see you all in a few hours ...
  2. Wonderful! I have never seen them and I really like them. Oh, and Allison will be really REALLY happy about this. (I texted her and her reply was "No fucking way!!!!!" )
  3. Thanks for this thread and link ... very interesting, and I would love to see this as well. I enjoyed reading his blog. Hopefully Wolf Flims will get the movie a full theatrical release someday, as intended. (From DiCillo's bio on his blog)
  4. Yes! Thanks Kyle for the head's up. I got 2 in row D for the Chicago show as well. I skipped seeing him last year, so I don't mind so much the extra bucks for the nice location and reserved seats etc. Now I just went downstairs and checked my mail -- my new deluxe "Noble Beast" CD arrived!!! Beautiful -- and no plastic container!! Yay! What a great day! and Ann Arbor
  5. Monday night, just before midnight ... listening e-party at VC! Meetcha here!

  7. Great review, Evonne! It was such fun being with you and Allison and MMJ in Chicago for the weekend -- both shows definitely superb in every way. The perfect end to 2008 for me. And it was special for me, too, that my nieces got to share in the MMJ excitement after their wild night with "lil' Wayne" at United Ctr. I am still hearing "Off The Record" in my head and really don't mind its extended stay!
  8. 4 of 6 Wilco's are in New Zealand, and this is all scott n could come up with? Jeesh. We need a better reporter!

  10. Wow - I haven't heard this bonus CD yet, but Diana Sudyka has outdone herself on this bonus cover art. I love her work (
  11. You guys (and gals!) are in for a treat, I'm sure! Look out for a blond pigtail-haired ruffle-shirted front-row crazy woman, though. I did the NYE in NYC / MSG for Wilco a few years ago, and temps in the 40's will be nice. Last year I did Chicago/Jon Brion for NYE in the slush and this year I'm staying home. I consider my 2-nights at the Chicago theater last weekend a good enough way for me to transition into the new year. Both shows were fabulous! *melty* HAVE FUN!!! I'll be anxiously awaiting the reviews!
  12. You say it's your birthday!?! Have a fabulous one, Edie
  13. Woah! That's a lot of uploads! Thanks Owl.
  14. there's your answer in bold - from Wilco HQ email Dec 23, 2008
  15. Sureshot - maybe it's just me, but I just get a red x for your photo (gigposters' hotlinks never show up for me). Marq Spusta
  16. Thanks Tugmoose! This was a lovely way to begin the morning! Can't wait. (Nice to see/hear a snippet of the Harry Nilsson song again ) Merged!
  17. At my mom's suggestion, we are exchanging gifts to charities in honor of each other instead of giving actual stuff, except the teens/college kids who haven't wanted anything but cash as they've gotten older (but this year they are getting less of it). The exciting thing about the charity giving is trying to think which charity to give to for each of my siblings and mom. I'm thinking about giving to the food bank in each person's community, maybe the ASPCA for some of the animal lovers in the family. I better get on this, too. Eeks!
  18. I'm liking this very much. Very much. Natural Disaster is really pretty, sorta reminds me of something off Beck Mutations, which I love.
  19. OK, I stand corrected. I'll edit my post above. Thanks for reminding me of the "red light Jeff" ... I'd already forgotten that moment, and how funny it was when he started unbuttoning his shirt.
  20. Oh, these living room shows have been happening for many years, and after each show the attendees log into VC and make a thread about their party and the setlists, etc, here in "After The Show" section. I'm sure if you use the search function on the word "Santa" here in the "After the Show" section, you'd find a plethora of info on these. (No time to do this myself today, I just wanted to give you a start). Although here is an off-VC extensive and wonderful blog review by VC's own bobbob1313. http://ivenopride1313.livejournal.com/286338.html#cutid1
  21. It's been at The Vic in Chicago in the past.
  22. Post-show reports are here http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?showtopic=38028
  23. I think this was the order, but speak up if I've got it wrong. We must keep our Wilcobase statistics accurate! 1. The Wilco Song 2. Impossible Germany 3. Jesus Etc 4. Hummingbird 5. Daniel Johnston cover - True Love Will Find You In The End 6. Dylan cover - Simple Twist of Fate 7. Hate It Here 8. She's a Jar This bettered last year in every way. And last year was great!
